Colin Cowherd Questions What He Is Watching With 1 NFL Team

Image
(Photo by Jerod Harris/Getty Images for The Volume )   The Chicago Bears were on the cusp of being 5-2 after defeating a really good Washington Commanders team on the road. However, Jayden Daniels and the Commanders had other plans. The Bears ended up losing on a tipped Hail Mary pass from Daniels that was caught by veteran wide receiver Noah Brown. Chicago is now 4-3 with a tough second-half schedule on deck. Fox Sports’s Colin Cowherd is now questioning the Bears. “This thing could unravel really fast…You went from feeling great about the organization to, ‘What am I watching,'” Cowherd said Thursday on The Herd. J.J. Watt Reveals His Thoughts On Anthony Richardson’s Benching

Image
(Photo by Jason Mowry/Getty Images)   The Indianapolis Colts made the massive decision this week to bench young quarterback Anthony Richardson in favor of veteran Joe Flacco. Richardson has thrown four touchdowns and seven interceptions through six games this season. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, NFL legend and future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt spoke about the move and its significance. “I think they are a very good team. I do think Flacco gives them a better chance to win games right now. I don’t think they’re a Super Bowl-winning team this year,” Watt said. "I think the Colts are a very good team and I do think Flacco gives them the better chance to win right now.. Matt Barnes Has A Strong Belief About JJ Redick As A Head Coach

Image
(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)   After a 3-1 start, Los Angeles Lakers fans are very happy with what they have seen from new head coach JJ Redick. They weren’t sure if he would work well as the coach because he has no experience in that sort of position but Redick seems to have unlocked something special in this team. Speaking to All the Smoke Productions, Matt Barnes talked about his former teammate and friend and addressed why Redick is such a good fit for the Lakers. “JJ moves around with an arrogance and a confidence because he does the work,” Barnes said, saying he has a “beautiful mind” when it comes to basketball and is doing the right things on behalf of LA’s biggest stars. “JJ moves around with an arrogance and a confidence because he does the work.” @Matt_Barnes22 reacts to JJ Redick’s hot start as Lakers Head Coach.⁰⁰Watch the season premiere of All The Smoke Unplugged: https://t.co/5BNUtSN1gE pic.twitter.com/kknTrrOuG1 — All the Smoke Productions...

Stephen Jackson Names 1 NBA Coach He Did Not Like In His Career

Image
(Photo by Ron Jenkins/Getty Images for BIG3)   NBA players and their coaches don’t always see eye-to-eye. They try to put their differences aside for the good of the team but that’s not always possible. Stephen Jackson gave a good example of that on the latest episode of “The Big Podcast”. When speaking about coaches that players didn’t like, Jackson made no secret of his disdain for Scott Skiles, who coached Jackson when he played for the Milwaukee Bucks. Jackson claimed that Skiles wasn’t trying to win and attempting to “take a dive,” which led to some really bad choices that were indefensible. “I can’t stand him right now talking about it. I want to punch him right now,” Jackson said. “I can’t stand him right now talking about it. Dodgers Get Good News On Shohei Ohtani

Image
(Photo by John Fisher/Getty Images)   The Los Angeles Dodgers are out to a two-game to zero lead over the New York Yankees in the World Series. On Saturday, the Dodgers defeated the Yankees by a score of four to two but suffered a possible injury to one of their key bats in the lineup. It appeared that Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani injured his shoulder while sliding into second base in game two. The Dodgers received some good news on Sunday regarding Ohtani before game three on Monday. According to FOX Sports: MLB on ‘X,’ Ohtani is expected to play in game three on Monday. Drake Maye Suffers Injury During Sunday’s Game

Image
(Photo by Jaiden Tripi/Getty Images)   Entering the 2024 NFL season, the New England Patriots knew that it would be a rebuilding year after so much change in the offseason. New head coach Jerod Mayo inherited a young and inexperienced roster, though his main job is to develop rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Maye, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, began the year riding the bench behind veteran Jacoby Brissett but recently got the nod to start after the offense failed to string together many scoring drives. It’s early, but Maye has looked solid in his limited opportunities both as a passer and a rusher. His size, athleticism and arm talent make him an intriguing prospect long-term though there are certainly going to be some growing pains as he continues to learn the professional game. Unfortunately, Maye took a shot to the head in the Patriots’ Week 8 matchup against the New York Jets and is questionable to return via the team’s official X account. “Patriots inju...

Paul Pierce Sends A Clear Message About His Feelings For Boston

Image
(Photo by Brian Fluharty/Getty Images)   Coming off their 2024 NBA championship, the Boston Celtics look ready to repeat as they’ve come out of the gates strong to start this season. The Celtics had no issues winning their first two games, blowing out the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards. Even without Kristaps Porzingis, who is sidelined due to an ankle injury, Boston has had no problem picking up where it left off last season. Offensively, the Celtics are one of the most efficient teams in the league, while their defense is stifling across the board. Former Celtics star Paul Pierce has been impressed with what he’s seen the past couple of years and is all-in on their chances of adding another banner. He recently gave some honest thoughts about Boston and his place in Celtics history. “I’m part of the DNA in Boston and I will be forever,” Pierce said, via All the Smoke Productions. “I’m part of the DNA in Boston and I will be forever.” @PaulPierce34 taps in with ...

Jaguars Make 4 Roster Moves Ahead Of Sunday’s Game

Image
(Photo by Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images)   The Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t quite out of the playoff race for the 2024 NFL season as they picked up a crucial win against the New England Patriots in London during Week 7. The Jaguars have been a disjointed bunch on both sides of the ball thus far but looked competent against a rebuilding Patriots team. Though defeating a bad team isn’t very impressive, Jacksonville won’t complain about getting a win considering the way its season has gone. Injuries have played a large part in the lack of success as the Jaguars have been without multiple key pieces both on offense and defense. Ahead of their Week 8 clash against the Green Bay Packers, the Jaguars announced a series of roster moves. “Activated LB Foyesade Oluokun from the Reserve/Injured; Designated to Return list. Elevated RB Jake Funk and DE Joe Gaziano to the active roster for tomorrow’s game via standard elevation. Downgraded S Andrew Wingard from questionable to out. OL Cam R...

Jets Coach Announces When Haason Reddick Will Make Debut

Image
(Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)   The New York Jets are about to get some much-needed help on defense this weekend when they head to New England to face the Patriots. Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich announced today that Pro Bowl edge-rusher Haason Reddick will make his Jets debut on Sunday in Foxborough. Reddick had been holding out in the hopes of reaching a long-term deal with the team after being traded over from the Philadelphia Eagles this past offseason. Bill Belichick Names The Most Emotional Day He Ever Had At Gillette Stadium

Image
(Photo by Rich Barnes/Getty Images)   Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is considered by many to be the greatest coach in NFL history, which is well-deserved considering he led the franchise to six Super Bowls. Belichick has always been known for his stoic demeanor even during the highest of highs and lowest of lows during that two-decade run with the Pats, but Belichick recently shared which day was the most emotional he ever had at Gillette Stadium. When speaking with Ryan Clark and the rest of the panel on Inside The NFL on Friday, Belichick said linebacker Tedy Bruschi’s return to the field during Week 8 in 2005 after suffering a stroke was the most emotional moment for him, adding how there was a chill inside of the stadium during Bruschi’s first tackle as everyone was wondering if he’d be okay. "It was probably the most emotional day I ever had in Gillette Stadium." Belichick and the guys discuss two amazing returns from injury, Nick Chubb a...

Colin Cowherd Has Strong Belief About Why Packers Hired Robert Saleh

Image
(Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)   There is a developing story on Lombardi Avenue this week. Former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh has been seen at Packers practice recently. He and Packers head coach Matt LaFleur have a very strong relationship going back to their Central Michigan days, and LaFleur clearly sees an opportunity for his good friend, who also happens to be one of the league’s best defensive minds, to help out the team. Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd has a theory for why LaFleur brought Saleh in as a consultant, and it doesn’t have to do with their history together. “Green Bay doesn’t do stuff like this…But LaFleur and Robert Saleh have a through line, Aaron Rodgers,” Cowherd said Thursday on The Herd. One of those possible receiver-needy teams is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now that there is a possibility of Cooper Kupp being traded by the Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh is the betting favorite to land the All-Pro. Francisco Lindor Sends A Clear Message About Mets After NLCS Loss

Image
(Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)   The New York Mets were eliminated from the 2024 playoffs was a Game 6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. Making the NLCS was the furthest the Mets have advanced in the postseason since going to the World Series in 2015. The Mets were unable to contain the Dodgers lineup as they gave up 46 runs in the series. However, New York star Francisco Lindor sent a powerful message following the exit from the postseason. “There’s something special going on here. It’s going to be one of those where 10, 15 years from now, guys are still going to talk to each other. I’m proud of that,” Lindor said, via SNY. "There's something special going on here. (Photo by Adam Glanzman/Getty Images)   There is no doubt that the Boston Celtics are the most feared and respected team in the NBA and the odds-on favorites to win the 2024-25 championship. But Al Horford recently made it clear that his team isn’t taking anything for granted. “We have to find our way again and start the process again,” Horford told Daniel Donabedian and the press, saying that all players had a “great” summer but will start over from scratch. Fans React To Daniel Jones Being Benched On Sunday

Image
(Photo by Luke Hales/Getty Images)   The NFL offseason didn’t go well for the New York Giants, with the storied franchise making some questionable moves, like letting superstar running back Saquon Barkley walk in NFL free agency and keeping Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback for the 2024 campaign. Although the Giants seem to have a superstar in the making with rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, the team’s front office might’ve been wise to make a run at one of the many talented quarterbacks in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, with Jones clearly not the answer under center after Week 7’s matchup against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles dominated the Giants on Sunday, with New York getting outscored 28-3 before head coach Brian Daboll and his coaching staff decided to pull the plug and bench Jones in favor of Drew Lock via Bleacher Report. Paul George Reveals Update On His Injury

Image
(Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)   The preseason hasn’t been positive for the Philadelphia 76ers as they are already dealing with injuries to their two superstars, Joel Embiid and Paul George. Embiid was ruled out of preseason play as he recovers from a knee injury he suffered last season, a troubling sign for a star who can’t seem to stay healthy. George saw his preseason cut short when he injured his leg on a routine defensive play. It looked bad on film as his leg appeared to get stuck as he was trying to run, and he was diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee. George has an extensive injury history, so for him to get hurt before the start of the 2024-25 NBA season is concerning, to say the least. However, he recently gave a positive update and said he doesn’t expect to miss too much time. “I’m good,” George said, via “Podcast P.” “It was a normal play that I’ve made so many times of a guy dribbling across, I reach, poke the ball free, and I guess my leg just kin...

NFL Is Reportedly Considering Big Change With Field Goal Kicking

Image
(Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images)   With the 2024 NFL season nearing the halfway point, teams have begun to separate and establish themselves as true contenders for the Super Bowl. Entering the regular season, there was a lot of anticipation as the league rolled out a new set of rules that overhauled kickoffs and special teams. To prevent player injuries and encourage more kickoff returns, the NFL changed the rules to mimic those of the UFL. So far, there has been an uptick in special teams plays, but it hasn’t made the dramatic impact the league was hoping for. Every year, the league’s Competition Committee evaluates the current set of rules and considers proposals to change the game. This year, it sounds like the committee will be considering a major change in regard to the goalposts. “NFL executive Jeff Milner says the Competition Committee will look at possibly narrowing goalposts after the season. Nothing imminent. The committee considers many ideas, rule change...
