Stephen Jackson Names 1 NBA Coach He Did Not Like In His Career
NBA players and their coaches don’t always see eye-to-eye.
They try to put their differences aside for the good of the team but that’s not always possible.
Stephen Jackson gave a good example of that on the latest episode of “The Big Podcast”.
When speaking about coaches that players didn’t like, Jackson made no secret of his disdain for Scott Skiles, who coached Jackson when he played for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Jackson claimed that Skiles wasn’t trying to win and attempting to “take a dive,” which led to some really bad choices that were indefensible.
“I can’t stand him right now talking about it. I want to punch him right now,” Jackson said.

Skiles was in charge of the Bucks from 2009 to 2013.
During that time, Skiles apparently butted heads often with Jackson, who averaged 10.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3 assists per game during his sole year with Milwaukee.
This isn’t the first time that a player didn’t like his coach and it definitely won’t be the last.
This is a tale as old as time and it’s not surprising considering how high stakes NBA games are.
There is a lot on the line for every game and many jobs hang in the balance.
If a coach doesn’t do well and pleases the front office, they will be cut loose.
But if a player fails to perform perfectly, they will also put their futures in jeopardy.
Ideally, everyone wants to win and the coaches and players are on the same page with the exact same goals.
But Jackson said that wasn’t the case with Skiles, which is what upset him so much.
