Al Horford Sends A Clear Message About Celtics Ahead Of Season

There is no doubt that the Boston Celtics are the most feared and respected team in the NBA and the odds-on favorites to win the 2024-25 championship.

But Al Horford recently made it clear that his team isn’t taking anything for granted.

“We have to find our way again and start the process again,” Horford told Daniel Donabedian and the press, saying that all players had a “great” summer but will start over from scratch.

The Celtics were easily the most dominant team in the NBA last season.

They sat atop the Eastern Conference for months and had a relatively easy path to their first championship in years.

That is why they are entering the new season with such a strong presence.

They didn’t make many changes in the offseason and retained the roster that took them all the way, including Horford.

Some teams might take it easy after winning a title, and there have been many squads that fell short of back-to-back championships because they didn’t push themselves hard enough.

Horford doesn’t think that will happen to the Celtics because they are treating this season like a fresh, new chapter and aren’t slowing down a bit even though they claimed their 18th banner.

The Finals win was massive for Horford, who is about to start his 18th season in the NBA.

The 38-year-old big man might not have many more years in the league, which is another reason he will push himself and his team as hard as possible in order to return to the Finals.
