Dan Quinn Reveals Injury Update On Jayden Daniels
Washington Commanders stud rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (ribs) left Sunday’s win over the Carolina Panthers due to injury and did not return.
On Wednesday morning, Commanders head coach Dan Quinn provided an update on the status of his franchise signal-caller.
“He won’t practice today…He’ll continue to progress through today and tomorrow,” Quinn said in front of the D.C. media ahead of practice.

The health of Daniels is paramount at this point seeing as he clearly appears to be a star in the making.
He has guided the Commanders to first place in the NFC East with a 5-2 record.
The former Heisman winner has recorded 10 total touchdowns and just two interceptions through the first seven games of his young career.
It does not feel like a major injury, but time will certainly tell as Daniels continues to progress throughout the week.
If Daniels cannot go against the 4-2 Chicago Bears this weekend, veteran Marcus Mariota would then be the starter.
After the Bears, the Commanders will face the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Philadelphia Eagles.
A lot of those games could go either way, which is why the team needs Daniels to be fully healthy.
However, in place of Daniels on Sunday, Mariota did throw for over 200 yards, tossed multiple touchdowns, and posted a passer rating of 132.8.
This Commanders team appears to be a well-oiled machine at the moment regardless of who is in at quarterback.
Quinn has done an unbelievable job as head coach so far, as has offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.
