The Indianapolis Colts made the massive decision this week to bench young quarterback Anthony Richardson in favor of veteran Joe Flacco.

Richardson has thrown four touchdowns and seven interceptions through six games this season.

While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, NFL legend and future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt spoke about the move and its significance.

“I think they are a very good team. I do think Flacco gives them a better chance to win games right now. I don’t think they’re a Super Bowl-winning team this year,” Watt said.

The Colts are one of the most interesting teams in the NFL.

They have a lot of talent, and the reigning Comeback Player of the Year in Flacco makes this team a lot more formidable.

Flacco guided the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs last year after they lost starter Deshaun Watson and Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb.

Now, at 4-4, the former Super Bowl MVP has a shot to do it again with Indy.

With star running back Jonathan Taylor, No. 1 wide receiver Michael Pittman, and a solid offensive line in the fold, this Colts offense has the opportunity to make plays with a veteran, competent quarterback at the helm.

This team is currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs but is only a half-game back of the third and final wildcard spot.

Up next for Indianapolis on the schedule is the Minnesota Vikings on the road on Sunday Night Football this weekend.
