Skip Bayless has found great success and fame as one of the most popular sports commentators in the world.

But getting to this point and earning this hasn’t come without a lot of sacrifices.

Speaking on the “Pat Bev Podcast”, via NBACentral, Bayless revealed what he told his wife about his personal life and career.

“I told my wife you’re going to be second in my life to my work. It’s rare that I’m going to sacrifice and miss a LeBron game. I chose to dedicate my life to this,” Bayless said.

That must have been a shocking thing for Bayless’ wife to hear but it made it abundantly clear that he had his sights set on being the top name in his game.

Bayless has an opinion about just about everything, from the NBA, the NFL, and beyond.

It’s obvious that he loves what he does for a living and devotes his entire life to it.

No matter what viewers and listeners think, Bayless is going to always be honest about what he feels.

The fact that he singled out James in this comment is interesting because he has had a complicated relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers star.

Over the years, he has said some very critical things about James and has turned many heads because of his comments.

Perhaps he told his wife he was going to watch every James game so he would have more fodder to attack him.

Bayless has experienced some career changes lately but remains a massive figure in the world of sports media.

There is no chance of him giving his job anything less than 100%.
