Insider Names The NBA’s Biggest Storyline On Opening Night

The new NBA season kicks off on Tuesday night and fans across the world are paying close attention to many emerging storylines.

Now more than ever before, there are a lot of questions and drama to keep track of.

But speaking on “First Take” Tuesday morning, NBA insider Shams Charania said the biggest storyline he is watching relates to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Charania said the team could be shaken up in a massive way if they don’t succeed in 2024-25.

If things don’t go smoothly in Milwaukee, they could lose Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo has made comments suggesting he could leave the team if they didn’t return to the Finals very soon.

Of course, Antetokounmpo said most of those things last year before the team acquired Damian Lillard.

But the addition of Lillard didn’t immediately turn the Bucks into contenders, and neither did the hiring of Doc Rivers as head coach.

They ended last season as the third seed in the East but didn’t stand a chance in the playoffs when both Antetokounmpo and Lillard were hurt.

Now, all eyes will be on this team to see how they do.

You can bet that every single rough patch will be met with talk of Antetokounmpo leaving.

The team is trying to put the past behind them and leave last season’s troubles in the rearview mirror.

If they don’t and they are still held back by injuries and missteps, there is a very serious chance of Antetokounmpo requesting a trade, perhaps as early as next summer.

Of all the storylines to track in the new season, this may be the biggest one.
