Ben Simmons Has A Message For His Doubters

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   There are many people who doubt the abilities of Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets. The former No. 1 draft pick has had a rough few years. It’s gotten so bad that even his most devoted fans are losing faith. But he wants everyone to know what he’s capable of and is reminding people of his potential. Speaking with the press, via ClutchPoints, the Nets star said, “I think people forget, me as a player when I’m healthy, I can play basketball. I’m pretty good, right?” The question now is if Simmons can remain healthy and prove how good he is. "I think people forget, me as a player when I'm healthy, I can play basketball. Charles Woodson Makes A Big Statement About Sam Darnold

Image
(Photo by Stephen Maturen/Getty Images)   The Minnesota Vikings stumbled upon their new quarterback. Sam Darnold was supposed to be just a stopgap while they developed a rookie quarterback, and some even thought he wouldn’t even start. Fans and analysts were quick to dismiss the Vikings when J.J. McCarthy fell with a season-ending injury, and not even the most optimistic fan thought they’d be 3-0 after three weeks. That’s why former NFL star Charles Woodson wanted to tip his hat to him and give credit where it was due. Talking on FOX Sports, he praised Kevin O’Connell for the work he’s done with Darnold, adding that he truly looks like a franchise quarterback right now. “Sam Darnold is looking like a franchise quarterback.” @CharlesWoodson breaks down the 3-0 teams that have surprised him so far this season. pic.twitter.com/5oVdlVB9DP — FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) September 29, 2024 The legendary safety added that he always loves to see quarterbacks standing strong ...

Netflix Is Reportedly Targeting Kay Adams To Host NFL Christmas Doubleheader

Image
(Photo by Greg Doherty/Getty Images for Netflix © 2023)   With more companies joining the NFL party, Kay Adams could be quite busy in the Holidays. The renowned anchor, who currently hosts “Up & Adams” on FanDuel TV, keeps ascending in the NFL media. According to a report by The New York Post, Netflix is targeting her to be the studio anchor of their upcoming Christmas doubleheader: “Netflix is targeting Adams to be the studio anchor of its NFL Christmas doubleheader, The Post  has learned.” Adams first rose to prominence as one of the original co-hosts of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, and on top of her weekly interviews with multiple NFL personalities, she’s also one of the faces of YouTube TV’s advertising campaign for NFL Sunday Ticket. The report added that neither Netflix nor reps from Adams responded to their requests for comments. The streaming giant invested $150 million to broadcast the Christmas Day matchups between the Kan...

Cardinals Will Be Without 1 Key Offensive Player Sunday

Image
(Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)   The Arizona Cardinals are sitting with a record of 1-2, but it’s an exciting 1-2 after they played the Buffalo Bills tough in Week 1, destroyed the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, and lost a close game to the Detroit Lions in Week 3. Unfortunately for Arizona, they will face the Washington Commanders at home in Week 4 without arguably their best pass-catcher. According to head coach Jonathan Gannon, tight end Trey McBride is out because of a concussion, via NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. #AZCardinals coach Jonathan Gannon tells reporters that TE Trey McBride is out Sunday because of a concussion. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 27, 2024 In the three games this season, McBride caught 14 passes for 122 yards. Eagles Get 1 Star Player Back At Practice

Image
(Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)   The Philadelphia Eagles got some great news ahead of their Week 4 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown was back at practice for the first time since he was injured in Week 1, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP Sports Radio. If Jalen Hurts has Brown back on the road this week, it would be a huge lift. He emerged as a very good player while with the Tennessee Titans and has become a superstar with the Eagles. In the two games he has misse...

Video Shows Bryce Young’s Classy Gesture With Andy Dalton After Sunday’s Win

Image
(Photo by Ian Maule/Getty Images)   The NFL is a cruel business. They won’t hesitate to dismiss a player and move on from him, even those who were supposed to be stars. That’s the case with Bryce Young. It only took the Carolina Panthers 18 games to realize he wasn’t the guy they thought he’d be, and they moved on from him. As tough as that might be, the former No. 1 pick has been an absolute professional about it. He even embraced Andy Dalton after the win over the Las Vegas Raiders (via Jordan Schultz). Colin Cowherd Says 1 NFL Team Is ‘Kind Of A Loser’

Image
(Photo by Katelyn Mulcahy/Getty Images)   Colin Cowherd is never one to mince words, and fans just have to hope his ire never gets directed toward their favorite team. In a recent episode of The Herd, Cowherd’s harsh words landed upon one NFL team that is off to an unspectacular start to the season, and Cowherd didn’t hesitate to call them losers. On The Herd, Cowherd said “America loves winners. The Cowboys are kind of a loser…January and February is where winners play.” "America lovers winners. Stephon Marbury Names Which NBA Team Runs New York

Image
(Photo by Nick Laham/Getty Images)   During his NBA career, Stephon Marbury played for both the Brooklyn Nets (then the New Jersey Nets) and the New York Knicks. But speaking on the “Roommates Show”, Marbury made it very clear that only one team stands supreme in the Big Apple. “It was always the Knicks. I was never the Nets,” Marbury said. Stephen A. Smith Says He’s ‘Very Impressed’ With 1 QB

Image
(Photo by Tim Heitman/Getty Images)   It didn’t take long before the Pittsburgh Steelers made a lot of people change their minds about them. Not so long ago, Stephen A. Smith predicted this would be Mike Tomlin’s demise, and his non-losing season streak would finally come to an end. He predicted they would finish at the bottom of the AFC North Division. More than that, he claimed that they needed to roll with the proven veteran and start Russell Wilson at quarterback. Fast forward to Week 3, and it seems like the ESPN pundit has changed his mind about pretty much every single one of those takes. . @stephenasmith is "very impressed" with Justin Fields and believes he should continue to start for the Steelers pic.twitter.com/4exPZQcBQp — First Take (@FirstTake) September 23, 2024 Talking on First Take, Smith claimed to be very impressed with Justin Fields’ play. Insider Reveals Patriots’ Plans With Drake Maye

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   The New England Patriots didn’t like what they saw from Jacoby Brissett in their recent loss to the New York Jets. The game was already well out of reach, so HC Jerod Mayo decided to give Drake Maye a chance to get some snaps and make his pro debut. Like most rookies, Maye was a little erratic, but he still managed to march down the field, albeit mostly against backups playing some prevent defense. Even so, it seems like his progress behind closed doors has made the coaching staff reconsider their stance on him. According to Patriots insider Albert Breer, this won’t be a full red-shirt year for the No. 3 pick (via Savage). Bert Breer on when Drake Maye will start for the New England Patriots: Per: @AlbertBreer “My understanding is that the plan is for that to happen at some point in 2024—this won’t be a full-on redshirt year. 4 Teams Reportedly Tried To Trade For Bryce Young

Image
(Photo by Bryan M. Bennett/Getty Images)   The Carolina Panthers sent shockwaves throughout the NFL when they announced they would be benching Bryce Young in favor of veteran Andy Dalton. This was an unprecedented move that no one saw coming as Young was thought to be the long-term answer to their quarterback woes, but now appears set to ride the bench for the foreseeable future. The swift decision to bench Young almost assures that his time in Carolina is done, though head coach Dave Canales has emphatically denied that notion. Still, this is quite the indictment on Young who has not looked any better in his sophomore season. Young has been shaky in dropping back to pass and seems to struggle with the pace and physicality at the NFL level. While Young would make sense as a reclamation project for some teams, the Panthers have already denied several suitors via Jay Glazer of FOX. “ The #Panthers rejected trade offers from 4 teams for QB Bryce Young,” Glazer reported. ...

Cowboys Made 2 Roster Moves Saturday

Image
(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)   After a strong Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, the Dallas Cowboys came crashing back down to Earth in Week 2 when they were blown out at home against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints simply dominated the Cowboys from the opening drive, hitting on multiple explosive plays to take a commanding lead that they never relinquished. Now, Dallas has a lot of questions to answer as they head into a Week 3 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens who are surprisingly still searching for their first win of the 2024 NFL season. A desperate Ravens team will be a load to handle, especially since the Cowboys have largely struggled to defend the run through two weeks. Baltimore has one of the best rushing attacks in the league behind Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, so Dallas has its work cut out for them. Ahead of the highly-anticipated matchup, the Cowboys made some additions to their defense via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2. “ #Cowboys elevate C...

LeBron James Gives Honest Thoughts On Playing With Bronny

(Photo by Alex Bierens de Haan/Getty Images)   Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is about to enter a season when he will be playing with his son Bronny James. After the Lakers selected the younger James in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, the duo is set to make NBA history as the league’s first father-son pairing. LeBron James recently expressed how he is feeling about entering the season with his son as his teammate. “I’m looking at you two guys right now; I think it’s one of the greatest things in the world to be able to work with your kid. … It’s going to be an unbelievable year for myself and I hope for him as well,” James said on “GoJo and Golic.” How different is it for @KingJames to go into a season playing with his son? Raheem Mostert Provides Encouraging Update on Tua

Image
(Photo by Rich Storry/Getty Images)   The Miami Dolphins took a massive hit last week in their Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went down with another concussion. After that happened, all anyone could think about was the health of the 26-year-old. Now, some good news about Tagovailoa is emerging. According to Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert, Tagovailoa looked to be OK when he and his family went to a Disney event with Mostert’s family and tight end Jonnu Smith’s family the night after the game. “He showed no visible signs of having been concussed, per Mostert,” wrote insider Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. NFL Star ‘Isn’t Buying’ Into 1 Team’s 2-0 Start

Image
(Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)   The New Orleans Saints have been on an absolute tear to start the season. Dennis Allen’s team didn’t find much trouble getting past Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers in the season opener, and they kept the momentum going by blowing out the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington in Week 2. Derek Carr is leading the league in passer rating and has five touchdown passes against just one interception, and Alvin Kamara is looking like the second coming of Barry Sanders. Their defense has bullied its opposition at the line of scrimmage, and they’ve played mistake-free football for the most part. Nonetheless, Detroit Lions star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown still isn’t that impressed by the Saints. Bills Rule Out 2 Players For Monday’s Game

Image
(Photo by Ken Murray/Icon Sportswire)   The Buffalo Bills are off to a convincing 2-0 start with a pair of blowouts under their belt after an offseason of many fans and media members doubting the direction of the franchise after losing so many key players to free agency and trades over the summer. Buffalo is looking to keep the ball rolling and start 3-0 when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football, but the Bills will have to do it without two key players. The Bills have officially ruled out a pair of starters on defense for Monday’s game, as cornerback Taron Johnson is out with a forearm injury and Terrel Bernard is out with a pectoral injury. Tom Thibodeau Hints At Julius Randle’s Role This Season

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   What will the New York Knicks do with Julius Randle in the 2024-25 season? The three-time All-Star has been an important member of the team for a few years but the squad has recently undergone an identity change without him. That has some people wondering what’s ahead for Randle and the Knicks. Speaking with Steve Aschburner, per Ian Begley, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau revealed his plans for Randle in the new season. “We could see Julius more at the five,” Thibodeau said. He went on: “I don’t want to do that for long stretches, it would take its toll, but to have him do it for 10 or 15 minutes, I think he can do it well. He also would create a lot of [offensive] advantages.” Tom Thibodeau to @AschNBA : "We could see Julius more at the 5. Gilbert Arenas Says Klay Thompson Has No Pressure With Mavs

Image
(Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images)   For years, Klay Thompson was the second-best player for the Golden State Warriors and was called upon often to help carry the team to new levels of success. Those expectations brought a lot of pressure but that stress and tension will be gone with the Dallas Mavericks. That is the opinion that Gilbert Arenas expressed on the latest episode of his show, stating that Thompson can relax a bit because Dallas’ offense will always be run by the combination of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. In the past, Thompson was needed for about 20 or 21 points per game but that won’t be the case with the Mavericks. Klay has NO Pressure with Mavs pic.twitter.com/OSUJb2satw — Gilbert Arenas (@GilsArenaShow) September 16, 2024 Because he will have less pressure on his shoulders, Thompson can relax a little bit and just focus on fitting in with the team. Zay Flowers Says Ravens Star Doesn’t Get Enough Respect

Image
(Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)   The Baltimore Ravens may have lost Week 1 to the Kansas City Chiefs, but there were still some positives to take away from the game. The Ravens came within one touchdown of either forcing overtime or winning the game outright, but Isaiah Likely was ruled just out when he came down with the pass from Lamar Jackson. Baltimore’s offensive line struggled with pressure from the Kansas City defense, so Jackson took it upon himself to run the football himself and extend drives on the ground. Jackson also did well in crunch time to get the Ravens into position to score, though ultimately he and the team came up short. As the NFL’s reigning MVP, the pressure is on for Jackson to get Baltimore over the hump and back into the Super Bowl. Jackson is a special talent at the quarterback position and his teammate Zay Flowers openly wondered out loud why he isn’t getting more respect via NFL on CBS. “I don’t know why [Lamar Jackson] don’t get the r...

Colts Made 2 Roster Moves Saturday

Image
(Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)   The Indianapolis Colts put up a valiant fight in Week 1, but unfortunately came away with a loss against their AFC South rivals the Houston Texans. The Colts, led by Anthony Richardson, were able to keep pace with a Texans team expected to make some noise in the postseason but fell short in the second half. However, it wasn’t a complete letdown of a game as the team showed some real promise on both sides of the field. Richardson looked healthy after missing most of his rookie year with a shoulder injury, showing off his running ability and explosive arm. Defensively, though, Indianapolis has some work to do along the edge and in the secondary as they gave up some crucial plays to C.J. Stroud and company. With that in mind, the Colts announced they made two roster moves ahead of their Week 2 matchup against the Green Bay Packers via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2. “#Colts elevated defensive end Genard Avery and safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. to th...

Jalen Hurts Makes Big Personal Announcement

(Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)   Vibes are high at the moment for the Philadelphia Eagles after they got off to a strong start to the NFL season by defeating the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, and the team is now getting ready to host an Atlanta Falcons team that struggled in Week 1. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a strong 2024 debut with 278 passing yards and two touchdowns, but he recently made a big personal announcement that could overshadow anything he did on the field. Colin Cowherd Says 1 QB ‘Doesn’t Get Any Respect’

Jayden Daniels Had Notable Odds Shift To Win NFL Award After Week 1

Image
(Photo by Julio Aguilar/Getty Images)   Rookie No. 2 pick Jayden Daniels made his NFL debut for the Washington Commanders on Sunday and saw his team get blown out 37-20 at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite the loss, Daniels was impressive and threw for 184 yards while running for 88 more and two touchdowns without committing a turnover, and the impressive performance combined with some subpar showings from his peers shifted the odds in his favor for one major award. According to ESPN BET, Daniels was +800 to win Offensive Rookie Of The Year prior to Week 1 and is now sitting at +375 following his impressive Week 1 performance. Aaron Rodgers’ Former Girlfriend Went Viral After Monday’s Game

(Photo by Leon Bennett/Getty Images)   Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, but he’s not only known for that. He’s constantly made the rounds for his on-and-off history with multiple women. And while he’s not currently seeing anybody — at least publicly — all the women he’s been tied to often gain a massive following on social media — even those who were famous before the rumors. Notably, Mallory B. Edens wasn’t the exception to that rule. The model and internet personality was rumored to be dating Rodgers back in January 2023. Rumors of them being ‘more than friends’ flooded social media, and plenty of NFL fans started following her again. Jaylen Brown’s Girlfriend Is Turning Heads During Fashion Event

Jrue Holiday, Jayson Tatum, and Derrick White kept their success on the court going by also winning the gold medal in the Olympics. Jaylen Brown, on the other hand, has also had quite a busy offseason. From underwater training to getting into a one-sided online beef with Nike over his alleged snub from the Olympics, all the way to being caught on camera saying that Bronny James wasn’t a pro and then backpedaling on social media, Brown has been all over the news more often than not. Fans React To Bengals’ All-Orange Uniforms

Image
(Photo by Jason Mowry/Getty Images)   The Cincinnati Bengals will kick off the 2024 NFL season at home against the New England Patriots, a solid spot for a team looking to bounce back after the 2023 NFL campaign. The Bengals won’t have Tee Higgins available after he reportedly tweaked his hamstring at practice, though they’ll get Ja’Marr Chase who will be limited after not practicing with the team. Even without both his top options available, Joe Burrow is in line to pick up a win against a rebuilding Patriots team. Cincinnati, at its best, should be considered a Super Bowl contender because of the strength of its offense. Defensively, the team could be better though having Burrow help paper over any deficiencies on the roster. During their matchup against the Patriots, the Bengals will be donning their all-orange uniforms which drew favorable reviews on social media. “ All-orange uniforms for the @Bengals.” All-orange uniforms for the @Bengals : #NEvsCIN on CBS/Par...
