After a strong Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, the Dallas Cowboys came crashing back down to Earth in Week 2 when they were blown out at home against the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints simply dominated the Cowboys from the opening drive, hitting on multiple explosive plays to take a commanding lead that they never relinquished.

Now, Dallas has a lot of questions to answer as they head into a Week 3 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens who are surprisingly still searching for their first win of the 2024 NFL season.

A desperate Ravens team will be a load to handle, especially since the Cowboys have largely struggled to defend the run through two weeks.

Baltimore has one of the best rushing attacks in the league behind Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, so Dallas has its work cut out for them.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated matchup, the Cowboys made some additions to their defense via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2.

#Cowboys elevate Carl Lawson, Nick Vigil,” Wilson reported.

Defensive lineman Carl Lawson signed with Dallas in the offseason after his time with the New York Jets, while linebacker Nick Vigil will be receiving his third call up already this season.

Lawson and Vigil will serve as depth pieces for the Cowboys, though it’s hard to imagine either player making much of an impact with the starting rotation already largely set.

Stopping the run has to be the focal point of the Dallas defense as Baltimore’s offense is predicated off running the football.

It’ll be interesting to see which of the two playoff hopefuls emerges victorious come Sunday.
