Zay Flowers Says Ravens Star Doesn’t Get Enough Respect
The Baltimore Ravens may have lost Week 1 to the Kansas City Chiefs, but there were still some positives to take away from the game.
The Ravens came within one touchdown of either forcing overtime or winning the game outright, but Isaiah Likely was ruled just out when he came down with the pass from Lamar Jackson.
Baltimore’s offensive line struggled with pressure from the Kansas City defense, so Jackson took it upon himself to run the football himself and extend drives on the ground.
Jackson also did well in crunch time to get the Ravens into position to score, though ultimately he and the team came up short.
As the NFL’s reigning MVP, the pressure is on for Jackson to get Baltimore over the hump and back into the Super Bowl.
Jackson is a special talent at the quarterback position and his teammate Zay Flowers openly wondered out loud why he isn’t getting more respect via NFL on CBS.
“I don’t know why [Lamar Jackson] don’t get the respect he deserves,” Flowers said.

Analysts and fans like to nitpick Jackson’s game and the most common refrain is he struggles to hit throws on a consistent basis.
However, that narrative should be put to bed as Jackson has proven time and time again that he is accurate throwing downfield and can make plays through the air when needed.
His bread and butter will always be scrambling out of the pocket and creating plays out of nothing, but he definitely should be considered a more elite quarterback.
