Analyst Details The Difference Between Patrick Mahomes And The Rest Of The NFL

Image
(Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)   With training camps for all 32 teams in the NFL well underway and the start of the 2023 season right around the corner, teams and star players around the league start to get ranked and evaluated by many different websites and media members. Although many of these annual rankings can and almost certainly will differ in certain areas, the consensus among most is that Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is still the best quarterback in the league, and it’s not even close when considering the competition for the distinction. Even though there are plenty of superstar quarterbacks in the league that are working their way up the ranks, like Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts, Mahomes remains atop the list of elite quarterbacks in the NFL, and that doesn’t appear to be changing ahead of the 2023 campaign. Mike Sando of The Athletic recently made an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd to explain his reasoning for M...

Mariners Reportedly Willing To Trade Two Former All-Stars

Image
(Photo by Steph Chambers/Getty Images)   The Seattle Mariners are in an uncomfortable position. They have a 54-51 record, good for fourth in the AL West standings and 4.5 games behind the last Wild Card spot. In terms of games back in the standings, they are not too far down. However, they have three teams between them and the last Wild Card spot. There has been chatter about what should be their deadline strategy. Well, according to MLB Trade Rumors, they are open to listening to trade offers for two of their most prominent hitters: Teoscar Hernandez and Ty France. CeeDee Lamb Has High Praise For Tony Pollard’s Big Play Ability

Image
(Photo by Julio Aguilar/Getty Images)   Over the past decade or so, the Dallas Cowboys have had a solid run game with star running back Ezekiel Elliott leading the way for the storied franchise. Unfortunately for Elliott, the team noticed that the veteran back had lost a step or two over the past couple of years but has since seen a star emerge in the form of Tony Pollard, who earned his first Pro Bowl nod during the 2022 NFL season. As a result of Pollard’s emergence, the Cowboys have moved on from Elliott and have made the first-time Pro Bowler their led back moving forward. With Pollard starting to become a household name in the NFL as arguably one of the best backs in the league today, Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb talked about watching his talented teammate play via PFF. Aaron Rodgers Implies Dalvin Cook Availability Led Him To Take A Pay Cut

Image
(Photo by Rich Schultz/Getty Images)   The New York Jets continue to make headlines on a daily basis in the NFL, with the storied franchise quickly becoming the most intriguing team in the league ahead of the 2023 season. Along with the recent drama that new Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton made, targeting Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently made some headlines by firing back at Payton and taking a massive pay cut. Rodgers is already a very wealthy man as he has made a ton of money over the years while being the face of the Green Bay Packers franchise, meaning he’s no longer prioritizing making money but rather winning football games in the twilight of his NFL career. The four-time NFL MVP recently agreed to a restructured deal with the Jets, which leaves $35 million on the table for New York to use to improve the squad ahead of the 2023 campaign set to get underway in September. Rodgers recently opened up about w...

Stephen A. Smith Has Strong Reaction To Julius Erving’s All-Time List

Image
(Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images)   The never-ending debate about the greatest players in NBA history has had some controversial takes throughout the course of history. Notably, even the best players of all time have had some debatable lists, mostly due to generational bias. That seems to be the case with Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving, who’s facing plenty of backlash for his list of the best players of all time. The legendary forward — who’s one of the most influential hoopers ever — chose Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Karem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, and Tiny Archibald as the best ever. . @stephenasmith reacts to Dr. J's top 10 NBA players of all-time "You cannot have an all-time top 10 list and LeBron James is out." pic.twitter.com/U7CtoZT0uU — First Take (@FirstTake) July 31, 2023 That’s why Stephen A. Aaron Rodgers Explains Why He Took A Pay Cut From Jets

Image
(Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)   The New York Jets didn’t only get Aaron Rodgers to want to play for them; they also got him to embrace his time there. Rodgers has looked like a different person ever since he arrived in New York, and he’s making sure to turn the narrative about him around. He’s been called selfish and self-centered for the way he took care of business with the Green Bay Packers. Now, he’s done pretty much the opposite with the Jets, agreeing to take a massive pay cut of $30+ million in his restructured deal. When asked about his reasoning behind that, the multi-time MVP told Peter King (via Dov Kleiman) that it’s all about the big picture. #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers talked about why he took a $33.7 million paycut with the #Jets Speaking to @peter_king – “You probably agree with this. This year, compared to like 2005, the amount of transactions that happen now with guys getting cut and the amount of trades—way more… pic.twitter.com/E2eaiXc73O — Dov...

Aaron Rodgers Has Strong Response To Sean Payton Criticizing Nathaniel Hackett

Image
(Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)   Earlier this week, new Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton had some things to say about the team’s prior coaching staff and the way things were run during the 2022 NFL season. Payton didn’t hold back in his criticism of former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett and how disorganized things must’ve been in Denver, resulting in a very disappointing outcome for the storied. Along with going in on Hackett and his coaching staff, Payton showed his support for superstar quarterback Russell Wilson, who was acquired by the team before the 2022 campaign. Payton made it clear that he doesn’t think last season’s result had anything to do with Wilson’s poor play, which was another shot at Hackett, which isn’t sitting well with New York Jets superstar Aaron Rodgers. After a failed stint as head coach in Denver, Hackett joined the Jets to become the team’s new offensive coordinator and join forces with Rodgers once again, who called Payton insecure...

Jets Fans Created A Chant For Dalvin Cook During His Visit

Image
(Photo by David Eulitt/Getty Images)   New York Jets fans are about as excited as they’ve ever been, with their team looking about as talented as it’s ever been since the team was able to bring in superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers via trade earlier in the NFL offseason. The addition of Rodgers immediately sent shockwaves throughout the NFL that the Jets could be a title contender in the AFC during the 2023 season, as he also brought some talented players like Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb. Along with two solid wide receivers, the presence of Rodgers may have also drawn the interest of one of the league’s best running back, with free agent Dalvin Cook visiting with the team this weekend. During Cook’s visit with the team over the weekend, the fans of the storied franchise did all they could to convince the four-time Pro Bowler to sign with New York, with a chant being heard in the stands during training camp via Jets Media. #Jets fans begin to chant DALVIN COOK as he wa...

Robert Saleh Reacts To Dalvin Cook Training Camp Visit

Image
(Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)   The New York Jets have made a lot of noise during this NFL off-season after the team acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers. The trade to bring in Rogers was thought to be a game-changer for the Jets as they finally found the missing piece to the championship puzzle he will fill the void left at the quarterback position with Mike White and Zach Wilson unable to live up to expectations. Along with bringing a lot of attention to the storied franchise this summer, Rodgers’ presence in New York has also drawn the interest of some star players around the league that want to contend for a title next season. The latest star player to be drawn to the Jets is veteran running back Dalvin Cook, formerly of the Minnesota Vikings. Cook has been linked to the Jets for a short amount of time, but the process seems to be sped up with the four-time Pro Bowler visiting the team this weekend. After ...

Dalvin Cook Shows Appreciation For Jets Fans Big Gesture

Image
(Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images)   The New York Jets will head into the 2023 NFL season as one of the best all-around teams in the league with Super Bowl aspirations, with newly acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers leading the way. As currently constructed, the Jets are a force to be reckoned with on both sides of the football and potentially the best team in the AFC, as the team is stacked offensively and defensively. Interestingly enough, New York has an opportunity to get even better on offense before the start of the 2023 campaign, with a perennial Pro Bowler set to visit with the team this weekend. That Pro Bowler is none other than former Minnesota Viking star Dalvin Cook, who Jets fans couldn’t help but start a chant for during training camp this weekend, which the star running back really appreciated. https://t.co/qz9JKqZQ6S — 4⃣ (@dalvincook) July 30, 2023 At this point, it seems like it might be a foregone conclusion that Cook signs with the te...

Frank Clark Gets Brutally Honest On Chiefs, Broncos Rivalry

Image
(Photo by David Eulitt/Getty Images)   Divisional rivalries in the NFL can become quite heated and are typically rich with historical significance. Take the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, for example. Both are some of the NFL’s oldest franchises, and they have faced off 206 times, an NFL record. Green Bay leads the series over the Bears, as they’ve won 105 of these meetings, and the Bears have taken home 95, with six ties mixed in. This rivalry is usually heated, and the games typically go down to the wire. However, the rivalry is much more one-sided for teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. Frank Clark has recently moved on from the Chiefs, signing a 1-year contract with the Broncos. When asked about the divisional matchups between the two teams, Clark responded, “In a rivalry, it’s competitive,” according to the NFL on ESPN. Travis Kelce Gets Physical With Teammate At Practice

Image
(Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)   NFL training camps have begun to get underway across the league, with all 32 teams going through the evaluation process to determine who is worth keeping on their rosters for the upcoming 2023 NFL season. As usual, the Kansas City Chiefs are a team that is getting a lot of interest as the NFL season draws near, with Patrick Mahomes and company always expected to be a legitimate title contender in the AFC. Much like last year, the Chiefs have gone through some changes in the passing game once again, with JuJu Smith-Schuster joining the New England Patriots and Mecole Hardman catching passes from Aaron Rodgers on the New York Jets. Although everyone wants to see what the passing game will look like this time around, superstar tight end Travis Kelce is the one that made headlines this weekend as he got into it with some teammates on the field via Nick Roesch of The Chiefs Wire. Ezekiel Elliott Set To Visit 1 AFC Team Today

Image
(Photo by Mike Carlson/Getty Images)   After spending his entire NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys , America’s Team decided to part ways with veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott after the 2022 season, making him a free agent and able to sign with any team that shows interest. Unfortunately for Elliott, the interest wasn’t there on the open market, with the veteran back waiting and waiting to get a call, but the phone wasn’t ringing. There has been some speculation that the Cowboys could try to bring him back this summer to maintain the dynamic duo with Pro Bowler Tony Pollard, but there’s been no movement on that front, and now training camps are underway across the league. However, there might be some light at the end of the tunnel for Elliott, with the New England Patriots set to bring him in for a visit and meeting with fellow veteran back Leonard Fournette, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Insider Hints That NBA Could Veto A Potential Damian Lillard Trade

Image
(Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images)   August is right around the corner, with NBA news slowing down to a crawl, as most teams have already filled out their rosters and star players have begun their vacations in anticipation of relaxing for the rest of the summer. However, two superstars remain in limbo, with Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden requesting to be traded before the 2023-24 NBA season. Although both players have let it be known where they’d like to play next, with Lillard favoring the Miami Heat and Harden wanting to play for his hometown Los Angeles Clippers, there’s been no movement on either trade front. Unfortunately for Lillard, he may not get his wish of wanting to play alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in South Beach, with the league coming down hard on the superstar and his agent recently, leading some to believe that the NBA could veto a trade to Miami via Sam Amico of Hoops Wire. Former Player Names The Biggest Key For Bills’ Super Bowl Aspirations

Image
(Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)   The Buffalo Bills have flirted with Super Bowl contention for quite some time now. They continue to be one of the biggest powerhouses in the AFC. Still, they don’t seem to be on the same tier as the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, mostly because of their tendency to underperform when it matters the most. That’s why former NFL star Victor Cruz believes the key behind their success will be whether Josh Allen can take another leap forward, as he showed some regression last season and had several key turnovers in crucial moments. After 3 Super Bowl scratching seasons, can the Bills make it over the hump this year? “The biggest key is Josh Allen.” — @TeamVic pic.twitter.com/kjztFOU7UC — The Carton Show (@TheCartonShow) July 28, 2023 Cruz is also curious about the Bills’ identity and how they’ll perform next season, citing that they’ve had a different identity every single year. Jets WR Suffers Apparent Injury During Practice

Image
(Photo by Todd Kirkland/Getty Images)   The NFL season hasn’t even started, and the New York Jets could already be in trouble. Star wideout Garrett Wilson suffered an apparent ankle injury during Thursday’s practice. NFL insider Dov Kleiman shared a video of Wilson limping off the field, and even though the fact that he was able to walk on his own is encouraging, the team should still monitor his situation closely. Update: #Jets WR Garrett Wilson limped off of the practice field with an apparent ankle injury and went to the locker room. Here's the video: pic.twitter.com/DmKY9qxaze — Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) July 27, 2023 Wilson was obviously done for the day, and he’s expected to undergo more testing. Needless to say, this would pretty much rule him out of this year’s Hall of Fame game vs. the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, August 3, although he wasn’t expected to play that much anyway. Wilson is fresh off a remarkable rookie campaign. He was taken out of Ohi...

Anthony Davis Recalls Special Moment Between His Daughter And Kobe Bryant

Image
(Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)   Years after his passing, we are still hearing stories about the impact that Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers had on players, fans, and all people associated with the NBA. Anthony Davis has a very unique, touching memory of the late, great icon. Speaking to FaZe Jsmooth, via ClutchPoints, Davis recalled a time when Bryant made his young daughter’s day: “I just had my daughter. Going to the gym, I was working out and he was there… he grabbed her. She never really wants anybody… but she was so happy smiling, laughing with him. That was just so dope for me to see.” “He was able to make her smile, make her laugh,” Davis said. He also mentioned that Bryant told Davis when his daughter was ready to play basketball, he was ready to help her learn. "I just had my daughter. Going to the gym, I was working out and he was there… he grabbed her. She never really wants anybody… but she was so happy smiling, laughing with him." Anthony D...

MLB Insider Provides Update On Lance Lynn Trade Rumors

Image
(Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)   Earlier on Wednesday, MLB insider Bob Nightengale reported that the Tampa Bay Rays were in serious talks with the Chicago White Sox over right-hander Lance Lynn. While Lynn has had a tough season, he remains a viable strikeout pitcher and was of interest to the Rays. However, this isn’t anything new, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. Sherman posted on Twitter that the Rays have been interested in Lynn for quite some time and have been in talks with the White Sox for several weeks. Lynn has a no-trade list of 10 teams which includes the Rays, but Sherman notes that he is willing to waive that to play for a contending team. Rays/White Sox have talked about Lance Lynn for several weeks. @BNightengale reports talks have intensified. Rays are on Lynn's 10-team no-trade list. But word is Lynn wants to get to a contender. Jimmy Graham Sends Message After Reuniting With Saints

Image
(Photo by James Gilbert/Getty Images)   There was a time, not so long ago, when Jimmy Graham was right there in the mix for the best tight end in the NFL. His connection and chemistry with Drew Brees were simply remarkable, and he even fought to be paid as a wide receiver for the level of production he put on the field. Then, he left the New Orleans Saints and fell from grace, being used more as a blocker than as a pass-catcher and only getting double digits in touchdown receptions once again in his career. Graham bounced around the league and played for the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears, and he never managed to reach that top-tier status again. Now, the 36-year-old has finally gone full circle and back to where it all started, and he showed his excitement about being back in the Big Easy with a hype video on social media, greeting the fans and stating that he can’t wait to see them all again. “Can’t wait to see y’all at Training Camp & in the...

Clippers Reportedly Unwilling To Trade 1 Player For James Harden

Image
(Photo by Todd Kirkland/Getty Images)   There is now some doubt that James Harden will ever make his way to the Los Angeles Clippers as he hopes. The Philadelphia 76ers star has made it clear that he wants to play in LA next season. For their part, the Sixers have allegedly listened to offers from the Clippers but are unwilling to agree to a deal that doesn’t check all of their boxes. Additionally, the Clippers aren’t looking to send over some of their best assets, such as Terance Mann. According to Kyle Neubeck, per NBACentral, the Clippers won’t budge on Mann, and “there has been hesitation for anyone to offer up what the Sixers feel is proper value.” All of this complicates the Harden trade and puts it in jeopardy. The Clippers are reluctant to trade Terance Mann for James Harden, per @KyleNeubeck “There has been hesitation for anyone to offer up what the Sixers feel is proper value. That applies to the Clippers, too, who are said to be reluctant to part with role p...

Insider Reveals Chris Jones’ Salary Demands For New Contract

Image
(Photo by Chris Unger/Getty Images)   The Kansas City Chiefs have been put in a tough spot by star Chris Jones. He’s by far their most talented and impactful defensive player, and as such, he knows he has all the leverage for his new contract. There have been multiple rumors about Jones potentially holding out if he doesn’t get a new deal, with HC Andy Reid even admitting that he doesn’t know what’s going to happen. With that in mind, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reveals that Jones is reportedly looking to get a deal worth $30 million per year (via Dov Kleiman). 76ers Insider Says Joel Embiid ‘Absolutely’ Could Join Eastern Contender

Image
(Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)   The Philadelphia 76ers are amid a tumultuous offseason. After having another disappointing finish in last year’s playoffs the Sixers know they needed to make some changes. One player who is looking to leave Philadelphia is star point guard James Harden. He no longer wants to play for the Sixers and has asked to be traded. But could trading Harden have a ripple effect across the roster? One player who may not be long in Philadelphia is reigning MVP Joel Embiid. According to Keith Pompey via NBA Central, Embiid joining the New York Knicks could “absolutely” happen. Andy Reid Shares Worrisome News On Chiefs WR

Image
(Photo by David Eulitt/Getty Images)   The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. While repeating is never an easy feat, they do have the players in place to get it done. The Chiefs will forever go as Patrick Mahomes goes. He is the best quarterback in the NFL and as long as he is on the field they have a chance. Unfortunately, one of Mahomes’ top wide receivers suffered an injury in practice.
