The Buffalo Bills have flirted with Super Bowl contention for quite some time now.

They continue to be one of the biggest powerhouses in the AFC.

Still, they don’t seem to be on the same tier as the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, mostly because of their tendency to underperform when it matters the most.

That’s why former NFL star Victor Cruz believes the key behind their success will be whether Josh Allen can take another leap forward, as he showed some regression last season and had several key turnovers in crucial moments.

Cruz is also curious about the Bills’ identity and how they’ll perform next season, citing that they’ve had a different identity every single year.

Reports from Bills training camp cite that Allen is more locked in than ever, and he’s determined to get over the hump once and for all.

Nonetheless, things haven’t gotten any easier for him and Sean McDermott.

Besides Tua Tagovailoa getting back to full strength for the Miami Dolphins, the Bills will also have to deal with Aaron Rodgers twice a season, as he’s part of the New York Jets.

There’s also that situation with Stefon Diggs, as the superstar wideout is reportedly frustrated about the team’s offense, and that drama could linger throughout the course of the season.

The Bills should still be considered one of the teams to beat, but they still need to get better to live up to that hype.
