Anthony Davis Recalls Special Moment Between His Daughter And Kobe Bryant

Years after his passing, we are still hearing stories about the impact that Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers had on players, fans, and all people associated with the NBA.

Anthony Davis has a very unique, touching memory of the late, great icon.

Speaking to FaZe Jsmooth, via ClutchPoints, Davis recalled a time when Bryant made his young daughter’s day:

“I just had my daughter. Going to the gym, I was working out and he was there… he grabbed her. She never really wants anybody… but she was so happy smiling, laughing with him. That was just so dope for me to see.”

“He was able to make her smile, make her laugh,” Davis said.

He also mentioned that Bryant told Davis when his daughter was ready to play basketball, he was ready to help her learn.

Davis continued to say that his daughter still looks at pictures of Bryant and her father years later, not remembering the once-in-a-lifetime moment that she shared with him.

She even still refers to Bryant as “Uncle Kobe.”

This is one of many stories we have heard about Bryant.

The way that he influenced other people goes beyond how they play on the court.

Countless stars have said that his pep talks, inspiration, and personal one-on-one connections changed them and led them to be better players and better people too.

It is not surprising to hear that Bryant was able to make Davis’ daughter so happy.

He was always very proud of his daughters and was elated to be a “girl dad.”

It is also not surprising that he made such a deep and important connection with Davis too because he touched the lives of so many people he worked with.
