Former NFL GM Makes A Strong Statement About Jordan Love

Image
(Photo by Ron Jenkins/Getty Images)   The Green Bay Packers seemingly made the right call on quarterback Jordan Love. After sitting behind and learning from Aaron Rodgers for three seasons, the former first-round pick has done a tremendous job taking the reins. After a tough start to his first full season as the team’s starter, he guided the team to a 9-8 record and a playoff berth. In fact, he guided them to a blowout victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs. Former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum recently appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” to chat about his thoughts on Love. “Who would you take before Jordan Love in terms of youth, ability, and I think his future is limitless,” Tannenbaum said. "If we were drafting #NFL players, I think you and I would agree that we'd take Patrick Mahomes no. 1, but I'm taking Jordan Love no. 2… Who would you take before Jordan Love in terms of youth, ability and I think his future limitless." – @RealTa...

Texans GM Addresses Rumors About J.J. Watt’s Possible Return

Image
(Photo by James Gill/Getty Images)   It is always fascinating to see if a once-retired player can make a comeback to join the team that he made his name with. This might be the case with legendary pass-rusher J.J. Watt. With the Houston Texans on the rise, is there a chance Watt could come back to join the team for a possible Super Bowl run? GM Nick Caserio recently joined “Up & Adams” to chat about the possibility of that happening. “We’ll see…DeMeco (Ryans) has an open door policy for JJ,” Caserio said. Former Player Calls Out People Who Are ‘Sleeping’ On Veteran QB

Image
(Photo by Alex Burstow/Getty Images)   Brock Purdy has already done more in his NFL career than most quarterbacks ever. He wasn’t even supposed to be there after being the last pick of his draft, yet he’s already been to one Super Bowl, and he was pretty close to winning it. Even so, and despite all the winning he’s done since taking the reins of the offense, people continue to sleep on him. That’s why former NFL star Emmanuel Sanders believes PFF ranked him way too low in their position rankings ahead of the season. Talking to Kay Adams for her “Up & Adams” show, Sanders claimed that he should be ranked higher than 13th, adding that he just doesn’t get why people still look past him. Veteran QB Admits That He Uses Madden Video Game To Teach Coverages

Image
(Photo by Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images)   The NFL has come a long way over the years. However, one thing has remained pretty much the same, and that’s the “Madden” video game series. Year after year, fans complain and joke online about how they gave them the same game with slightly improved graphics and updated rosters. However, Madden has also become more realistic and added plenty of input and real-life game situations. That’s why, talking to former NFL star Chris Long, New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr gave them some credit. In his recent appearance on “Green Light with Chris Long,” Carr claimed that Madden does an outstanding job of showing coverages, and he’s even used the game to teach his nephews about coverage. "I will say this, Madden does a good job of showing coverages. Like I know it sounds funny but… I would teach guys coverages off of Madden. I've taught my nephews coverages off of Madden." – @derekcarrqb on playing @EAMaddenNFL | @JOEL9ONE pi...

Giants Receiver Reveals How Daniel Jones Can Gain Respect In The NFL

Image
(Photo by Luke Hales/Getty Images)   Two years ago, the New York Giants pulled off a big upset on the road in the playoffs, taking down the Minnesota Vikings in the Twin Cities. That was the end of the line for them and they lost the very next game. Still, it was an encouraging season and some thought HC Brian Daboll was going to be able to finally get the most out of Daniel Jones. Jones got a big payday and struggled mightily in the following campaign, once again raising questions about his skills and prospects as a starter in this league. That’s why Giants WR Darius Slayton believes his quarterback needs to start winning again to finally get some respect around the league (via Giants Videos). Darius Slayton is asked what Daniel Jones needs to do to gain respect across the league: "Win. Two years ago when we were in the playoffs, everybody was like, 'actually, he needs help.' Robert Saleh Says Jets Will Hold Joint Practices With 3 Teams

Image
(Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images)   One of the most exciting parts of the preseason in the NFL is when teams hold joint practices with one another. In plenty of ways, these periods are a lot more competitive than preseason games because everybody plays, including the starters. New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh recently confirmed to the New York media that the team will be holding joint practices with three separate teams. Those teams are the New York Giants, the Washington Commanders, and the Carolina Panthers (via Jets Videos). Joey Porter Jr. Says He’s The NFL’s Best Cornerback

Image
(Photo by Joe Sargent/Getty Images)   The Pittsburgh Steelers have themselves a stud in second-year cornerback Joey Porter Jr. The son of the Steelers legend could very well be on his way to becoming a legend in his own right. After an outstanding rookie season in 2023, Porter recently proclaimed himself the best cornerback in the league. “There are a lot of good defensive backs in this league. Nobody was doing what I was doing going against WR1s the entire year and locking them down,” Porter said to the Pittsburgh media, via Ari Meirov. #Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. believes he's the best cornerback in the NFL. Ronald Acuna Jr. Continues Heartbreaking Start To MLB Career

Image
(Photo by Justin Berl/Getty Images)   In July 2021, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. suffered a torn ACL in his right knee. He missed his team’s World Series run and was limited in the 2022 campaign. He then recovered and won the NL MVP award in 2023. Unfortunately, his 2024 season will now be marked by another long-term knee injury, this time to his left ACL. The Braves have already placed him on the injured list and declared him out for the season after he got hurt over the weekend. It’s yet another blow for the supremely talented Acuna, whose career has been marred by injuries and unexpected circumstances. “Ronald Acuña Jr.’s age-22 through age-26 seasons: 2020: COVID season; 2021: Torn ACL; 2022: Limited by ACL recovery; 2023: Wins MVP; 2024: Torn ACL. Colin Cowherd Has A Strong Belief About Bo Nix

(Photo by Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)   The Denver Broncos made the big move to select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with the No. 12 overall pick in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft. Head coach Sean Payton appears to now have his quarterback of the future. FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd had this to say about Payton and Nix possibly being able to find success: “Sean Payton with Drew Brees worked because they’re both sort of old school…I think Bo Nix feels like that,” Cowherd recently stated on “The Herd.” "Sean Payton with Drew Brees worked because they're both sort of old school… I think Bo Nix feels like that." — @ColinCowherd thinks Denver found their guy pic.twitter.com/44aA4XEoSX — Herd w/Colin Cowherd (@TheHerd) May 27, 2024 Brees and Nix have a lot of similarities in terms of how they came out of college. Patrick Queen Has Surprising Admission About Signing With Steelers

The All-Pro defender left the Baltimore Ravens for the arch-rival Steelers on a three-year deal. Recently, Queen spoke with Kevin Oestreicher to chat about his free agency experience and what made him want to join the Steelers. “I either have a chance to go win or have a chance to get paid…I’m trying to win now,” Queen stated. Adam Silver Sends A Clear Message About Future Of NBA TNT Crew

Image
(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)   As the 2024 NBA Playoffs have gone on, one of the interesting network subplots has been about the future of games on TNT. The NBA has multiple multi-billion dollar agreements with networks like ABC and ESPN and recently gave out new packages to NBC and Amazon, notably leaving out TNT. TNT’s executives reportedly decided to shift their money toward covering college football instead of bargaining for NBA rights, a confusing decision that’s left the future of the popular show “Inside the NBA” up in the air. As of now, the crew led by Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson, and Shaquille O’Neal will have a final season covering the league during the 2024-25 NBA campaign but their future beyond that is uncertain. Fans have let it be known that they want to see the group continue to cover the league, though there haven’t been any definitive plans on how that’ll work moving forward. However, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made it sound li...

Aaron Rodgers Says Jets WR Was His ‘Favorite Receiver’ In The Draft

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   The New York Jets will certainly be hoping for better injury luck during the 2024 NFL season as they hopefully get a fully healthy Aaron Rodgers under center. Rodgers was supposed to be New York’s savior when the organization traded for him last offseason, but his first year with the team went horribly wrong as he tore his Achilles on their first offensive series of the 2023 NFL campaign and missed the remainder of the year. Although the future Hall of Famer was able to get back on the practice field later in the year, the Jets wisely held him out from playing after they were eliminated from the postseason. Now, Rodgers has been fully participating in OTAs and is expected to start for New York once Week 1 rolls around. Rodgers will have several offensive weapons to utilize, most notably Garrett Wilson who appears set to take the next leap in his rise as one of the best wideouts in the league. However, Rodgers will also get to throw to ...

Video Shows MLB Pitcher’s Wild Throw In Pickoff Attempt

Image
(Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)   Attempting to pick-off a runner at first base is always a risky move for a pitcher, as so many things could go wrong, from not stepping off the mound properly resulting in a balk to throwing the ball away. The worst-case scenario might be if the first baseman doesn’t even cover first base and you attempt the pickoff anyway, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to one poor pitcher last night. With Josh Naylor on first base after a walk in last night’s Los Angeles Angels vs. Cleveland Guardians game, Angels pitcher Roansy Contreras attempted to pick him off first base in the top of the 8th inning while down 10-3, and the only problem was first baseman Nolan Schanuel didn’t expect a throw and didn’t cover the bag, resulting in one of the worst pickoff attempts you’ll ever see. Insider Reveals Latest Injury Update On Tyrese Haliburton

Image
(Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)   The Indiana Pacers lost Tyrese Haliburton to a hamstring injury on Thursday night. Shortly after that, they lost the game against the Boston Celtics. Now the team isn’t sure when they will see Haliburton next and that is causing a lot of fear among fans who are desperate to see their team climb back from the 0-2 hole they’re in. Speaking on “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said the Pacers don’t know how severe Haliburton’s injury is but did remind viewers that this is the same injury he suffered back in January. He missed ten games then and there is a worry that he will miss just as many this time. Knicks Star Will Reportedly Consider Offers From Other Teams This Offseason

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   OG Anunoby has only played 23 regular season games for the New York Knicks but they were very good 23 games. During that brief time, Anunoby averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists and became a crucial part of the team’s starting lineup. But will he still be with the Knicks when next season begins? According to Jake Fischer, via NBACentral, there is “no guarantee” that Anunoby will re-sign with New York and it’s expected that he will consider other offers throughout the league. Fischer said that “various teams left [the NBA combine] with the belief that Anunoby could reach unrestricted free agency and consider deals from other franchises in addition to New York, sources said.” There’s no guarantee that OG Anunoby will re-sign with New York, and he is expected to consider offers from other teams, per @JakeLFischer “While league personnel are of the mind Siakam will certainly be re-signing with Indiana, there was word circl...

Notable Chiefs WR Is Not Practicing Today

(Photo by Peter Aiken/Getty Images)   OTA season is the time to dissect every little piece of news that comes out of camp as fans everywhere are simply thrilled to see even a glimpse of football for the first time in months. The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of OTAs at the moment, though one notable wide receiver was absent from the practice field today. The Chiefs made Xavier Worthy their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but a video taken during Wednesday’s media look showed that Worthy was not participating in on-field activities, as the video showed Worthy on the field with his teammates, but without a helmet and standing off to the side, per Aaron Ladd. Brian Windhorst Says There Are Coaching Candidates Waiting To Interview With Cavs

JB Bickerstaff is still the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, at least for now. But everyone in the NBA knows that he could be losing his position soon since the Cavaliers suffered yet another disappointing playoff run. Because so many people think Bickerstaff could leave, others are preparing to interview for his job, according to Brian Windhorst. Speaking to ESPN Cleveland, Windhorst said, “There’s candidates out there who are preparing to interview for the Cavs.” Windhorst noted that the team hasn’t contacted anyone but there are people waiting in the wings. Video Shows Derrick Henry Arriving At OTAs

(Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)   One of the biggest offseason moves in the NFL was the Baltimore Ravens signing All-Pro running back Derrick Henry. Patriots Veteran Hints That He’s Seeking A $100 Million Dollar Extension

Image
(Photo by Scott Halleran/Getty Images)   The New England Patriots are going to look vastly different in the 2024 NFL season as they’ve got a new coaching staff and roster to work with. After years of toiling in mediocrity, the Patriots elevated Jerod Mayo to become the franchise’s next head coach while they also spent the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on UNC’s Drake Maye. With a new head coach and quarterback in place, New England went to work in the offseason tweaking the roster on the edges in hopes of making them more competitive than they have been in previous years. However, the team will also have several of it’s veteran players to ease the transition, namely Matthew Judon who will enter the season as the Patriots’ backbone on defense. Judon previously signed a four-year, $54.5 million deal with New England that he has outplayed and will be looking for an extension. It seems that the pass rusher may have tipped his hand when it comes to what he’s seeking o...

Victor Wembanyama Showing Off His Skills To Young Players Is Going Viral

Image
(Photo by Tyler Kaufman/Getty Images)   The San Antonio Spurs are going to quickly rise up the league standings as they’ve got a bonafide superstar in Victor Wembanyama, Wembanyama, the 2023 NFL Draft’s No. 1 overall pick, entered the league with sky-high expectations after spending most of his playing career overseas in France. The Spurs star started off slow in NBA Summer League but quickly proved he was worthy of all the hype and anticipation once the 2023-24 NBA season rolled around as he showed off a versatile skillset on both ends of the floor. There’s never been a prospect quite like Wembanyama who is a natural paint defender because of his length and size, but is also adept at handling and shooting the basketball. At 7’3″, there aren’t many players that can successfully guard Wembanyama in a full game because he’s got so many different ways to attack a defense. Wembanyama has been enjoying his offseason and a clip of him not taking it easy on some kids has been mak...
