Knicks Star Will Reportedly Consider Offers From Other Teams This Offseason

OG Anunoby has only played 23 regular season games for the New York Knicks but they were very good 23 games.

During that brief time, Anunoby averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists and became a crucial part of the team’s starting lineup.

But will he still be with the Knicks when next season begins?

According to Jake Fischer, via NBACentral, there is “no guarantee” that Anunoby will re-sign with New York and it’s expected that he will consider other offers throughout the league.

Fischer said that “various teams left [the NBA combine] with the belief that Anunoby could reach unrestricted free agency and consider deals from other franchises in addition to New York, sources said.”

Before coming to New York, Anunoby was a member of the Toronto Raptors.

When he moved to the Knicks in the middle of the season, he was seen as a way to improve the team’s defense.

He immediately did that and fans quickly fell in love with Anunoby and his skills.

They want him to remain in New York, especially after the season they had.

The team did very well in the regular season and climbed to the second spot in the Eastern Conference.

They didn’t go as far as expected and ended up losing to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

That was partly because the team couldn’t stay healthy.

Anunoby himself continually got hurt and everyone is wondering how much more the team could have done if the injuries didn’t pop up.

What are the Knicks capable of if Anunoby and the rest of the team aren’t hurt?

There is a chance fans will find out next season but there is apparently also a chance he tries his luck with another squad.
