Steph Curry Shares His Thoughts On Viral Moment With NBA Rookie

Image
(Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)   Golden State Warriors fans were shocked and amused last month when they witnessed Stephen Curry attempt to beat San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama during tip-off at the start of a preseason game. Wembanyama is seven-foot-four and Curry is, of course, not but they still met at halfcourt. The four-time champion gave it his all but he came up short, literally. Speaking to NBC Sports, Curry shed some light on how that funny moment materialized. “You get Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr in a room and some funny stuff’s going to happen for sure,” Curry said. Curry admitted that he was laughing on the inside at the major mismatch but was “trying to scare him a little bit.” “I gave it everything I have,” Curry said. Kevin Durant Praises Suns Teammate’s Impact Off The Bench

Image
(Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images)   The Phoenix Suns captured another win on Friday, beating the Utah Jazz 131-128 and bringing their record to an even 6-6. Once again, it was Kevin Durant doing the most for his team, flirting with a triple-double with 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. But instead of receiving all the praise after the game, Durant spoke at length about how impressed he is by Nassir Little. Durant said that Little is “an example of why everybody on the team has to stay ready” after his strong 5 points and important three-pointer during just 11 minutes. In just 11 minutes of action on Friday, Nas' spark of energy off the bench proved vital in the victory! pic.twitter.com/u27rqikjbg — Phoenix Suns (@Suns) November 19, 2023 In the video shared by the Suns, Little responded to the praise, saying that Durant was his “favorite player growing up.” “Being able to share ...

Odds Show A Clear Favorite To Win NBA MVP Award

Image
(Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)   The NBA season is less than a month old and there are dozens upon dozens of games still left to play. That means that a lot can change between now and the offseason. However, right now there is a clear frontrunner to win this season’s MVP trophy, and it’s a very familiar name. According to Basketball Reference, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has a 77.8% chance of winning MVP in 2023-24. The second player on the list is Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, the league’s current MVP, with just 9%. Tyrese Haliburton, Tyrese Maxey, and Jayson Tatum take spots three through five. 2023-2024 NBA MVP Odds: 77.8% – Nikola Jokić (DEN) 9.0% – Joel Embiid (PHI) 4.5% – Tyrese Haliburton (IND) 2.1% – Tyrese Maxey (PHI) 1.7% – Jayson Tatum (BOS) All MVP Odds: https://t.co/aUIBdEo4Z8 — Basketball Reference (@bball_ref) November 19, 2023 All of these players have a chance but it’s obviously Jokic who has the best possibility of taki...

Chargers Have Activated 2 WR’s Ahead Of Packers Game

Image
(Photo by Rich Graessle/Icon Sportswire)   The 2023 NFL season is shaping up to be another disappointing year for the Los Angeles Chargers who are currently 4-5 and quickly falling out of the playoff race. The Chargers have some of the best talent in the league, but for whatever reason they’re unable to close out games. Los Angeles has come under fire this year as they continue to underwhelm compared to their preseason expectations and if they fail to qualify for the postseason then the organization will surely make some changes across the roster and sidelines. Justin Herbert has done everything in his power to keep the team afloat, but he’s predictably struggled without Mike Williams available. Williams is out for the rest of the season after he tore his ACL, so Herbert has had to heavily lean on Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler in the passing game. Ahead of their Week 11 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles is bringing up some receiver help via Adam Schefter...

Shaq Gets Honest About Draymond Green Altercation

Image
(Photo by Megan Briggs/Getty Images)   During his time in the NBA , Shaquille O’Neal definitely got into a few situations similar to the one Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is currently in. And while O’Neal admits that Green shouldn’t have thrown Rudy Gobert into a chokehold a few days ago, he also believes he would have done the same thing. Speaking with The LA Times, via ClutchPoints, O’Neal said, “I would’ve did the same thing.” He went on: “I’m not gonna sit here and say he was wrong, he shouldn’t have did it – he probably shouldn’t have did it, but WWSD, what would Shaq do? Shaq would’ve did the same thing.” “I would’ve did the same thing. Chris Broussard Makes Wild Demand For Cowboys Against Panthers

Image
(Photo by Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images)   The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the best teams in the league this season, at least for the most part. Of course, that loss to the Arizona Cardinals and their never-ending struggles against the San Francisco 49ers will make it tough for some to take them seriously, but, in reality, they’ve been very efficient on both sides of the field this year. That’s why analyst Chris Broussard believes it’s about time they make another statement and put up 50 points against the Carolina Panthers. In the latest edition of “First Things First,” he stated that this is the perfect opportunity for them to do so, as they’re facing a struggling rookie quarterback and are playing their best football right now. . @Chris_Broussard wants to see the Cowboys put up 50 points against the Panthers pic.twitter.com/KK60pswI5O — First Things First (@FTFonFS1) November 17, 2023 Dak Prescott has quietly entered the MVP conversation. Analyst Claims 1 Lakers Star Could Leave The Team Soon

Image
(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)   On Thursday’s episode of Undisputed, Keyshawn Johnson laid into Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers and his lackluster performance on Wednesday night. Calling Davis’ 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist “not acceptable,” Johnson said the big man needs to step up because he should be carrying the team alongside LeBron James. “You are the second guy in line behind LeBron,” Johnson said to Davis. He then gave a warning to Davis and all Lakers fans: “If he doesn’t hurry up before the trade deadline, his name will start floating around.” . @keyshawn foresees the AD-Lakers era ending soon: "If he doesn’t hurry up before the trade deadline, his name will start floating around." pic.twitter.com/Ux6M37bEqc — UNDISPUTED (@undisputed) November 16, 2023 Johnson was particularly upset with the fact that Wednesday featured Davis’ second 9-point game of the season.
