Analyst Claims 1 Lakers Star Could Leave The Team Soon

On Thursday’s episode of Undisputed, Keyshawn Johnson laid into Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers and his lackluster performance on Wednesday night.

Calling Davis’ 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist “not acceptable,” Johnson said the big man needs to step up because he should be carrying the team alongside LeBron James.

“You are the second guy in line behind LeBron,” Johnson said to Davis.

He then gave a warning to Davis and all Lakers fans: “If he doesn’t hurry up before the trade deadline, his name will start floating around.”

Johnson was particularly upset with the fact that Wednesday featured Davis’ second 9-point game of the season.

A man with his sort of basketball pedigree – and paycheck – shouldn’t be doing this, according to Johnson.

While many people have expressed frustrations with Davis before, few have actually thought that the eight-time All-Star might be traded.

He just signed a huge contract extension with the Lakers in the summer, but what are the chances that the team would actually part ways with him?

It seems very unlikely, even if Davis’ season continues to be inconsistent because they have stuck it out with him through thick and thin many times before.

But what if it was Davis who proposed a trade?

What if he felt burnt out in LA and tired of all the pushback that he gets from analysts like Johnson and others?

Could that lead to him requesting a way out of LA, possibly back home to Chicago or another spot in the league?

There is another option, of course: Davis could hear all of the criticism he is hearing now, use it as fuel to get healthy and back on track, and then start putting up MVP numbers again.

That’s obviously the outcome that Lakers fans are hoping for.
