Videos Show Jordan Poole Having Issues With New Wizards Teammate

Image
(Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)   The Washington Wizards have been quite impressive during the NBA preseason and that’s partly because of Jordan Poole. Poole has averaged 23.3 points per game during his three preseason games with the team. You would think everyone on the roster would be happy about that. But a video shared on Twitter showed Poole and teammate Deni Avdija seemingly have some tough words on the bench. Their back-and-forth came shortly after Avdija was visibly frustrated on the court when he didn’t receive the ball from Poole. They got real beef lmaooo pic.twitter.com/j5iUZlY5Xd https://t.co/YmZvrBUHuv — á´… Ê€ á´‡ á´¡ (@FeelLikeDrew) October 19, 2023 In the grand scheme of things, this didn’t look like a very serious blow-up between the two players. This could definitely be the sort of thing they both put behind them when the game is over. However, it’s a little concerning, especially since it took place so early in the year. Avdija was upset because he...

Seahawks Defender Claps Back At Ja’Marr Chase Taunt

Image
(Photo by Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images)   The Cincinnati Bengals will have bragging rights over the Seattle Seahawks, at least for the foreseeable future. Geno Smith wasn’t very sharp in the game, and Zac Taylor’s team managed to escape with a narrow win, and that’s all that matters. However, Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase wanted to stir the pot a little, trolling the Seahawks and rookie CB Devon Witherspoon by commenting “Hold that L” on an Instagram post that showed the rookie flexing on him. The Illinois product didn’t hesitate to clap back at Chase, sharing that very same picture on his Instagram Stories with a “sick” emoji (via Dov Kleiman). D.K. Metcalf had already fueled the fire by predicting that Witherspoon would get the best out of Chase, and while the scoreboard didn’t reflect that, he did dominate the LSU star. After Ja'Marr Chase made his: "LOL HOLD THAT L" comment on the #Seahawks page, Witherspoon responded by sharing the image with a emoji. pic...

Astros Fans Are Celebrating A Special Anniversary Today

Image
(Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images)   Since 2015, no team has gotten in the New York Yankees’ way like the Houston Astros . They really became their nemesis: Houston eliminated New York from the 2015 Wild Card Game and the 2017, 2019, and 2022 American League Championship Series. That’s four times; four eliminations, with no series wins for the Yanks in the playoffs against the Astros. The 2017 ALCS was probably the most painful for fans, but the 2019 one is not far behind. The Yankees actually won Game 1 with a 7-0 performance, with Masahiro Tanaka silencing the local bats at Minute Maid Park. Houston took three straight games, though, to position themselves for the series victory. Behind a huge three-run homer by Aaron Hicks against Justin Verlander in the first inning, the Yankees took Game 5. On this day, but four years ago, Houston secured a crucial, thrilling Game 6 win to advance to the World Series. “4 years ago today, Jose Altuve sent the Astros to the World Seri...

(Photo by Jamie Schwaberow/Getty Images)   The 2023-24 NBA season is about to start, and fans couldn’t be more excited for basketball to return. Similar to every season, there are a few outright favorite players and teams. Evidently, the opinions of different analysts have already been formed in regard to the ranking of the said players. NBA analysts Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe recently shared their picks for the top-10 NBA players entering the new season, via “First Take” on Twitter. . @stephenasmith and @ShannonSharpe 's top 10 NBA players Which list are you rocking with? pic.twitter.com/j4zVAIIeYO — First Take (@FirstTake) October 17, 2023 Smith’s list had Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Anthony Davis. Smith ranked Doncic at No. 8, which may seem shocking at first, but the list is apparently based on last season. Doncic and the Dallas Ma...

The Phillies Are Collectively Playing At An MVP Level

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   The Arizona Diamondbacks are a very good baseball club. They have managed not only to compete at the highest level, but beat two division champions in the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 2023 postseason. However, if the National League Championship Series has taught us anything after the first two games, it’s that the Philadelphia Phillies appear to be a tier above. It might be a bit odd to reach that conclusion given that only two games have been played, and none of them have been in Arizona. Yet the Phillies look so good, balanced, powerful, and effective in all areas that it becomes evident. This is not to say the D-Backs don’t have a chance, but so far, the Phillies lineup has been extremely productive and the numbers back that up. “Phillies have a .575 slugging percentage this postseason. To put that in perspective, only 5 players had a .575+ SLG this season: – Shohei Ohtani – Corey Seager – Matt Olson –...

Former Player Notes A Positive Sign For The Cowboys

Image
(Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)   The Dallas Cowboys were in the spotlight on Monday night, and not just because the game happened to be in a primetime slot. Their loss to the San Francisco 49ers left terrible feelings about them, and their once-promising start to the season seemed like a thing of the distant past. That’s why it was so crucial for them to be able to get the job done and get a convincing win over an up-and-coming team like the Los Angeles Chargers. With that in mind, former NFL player Willie Colon gave Dak Prescott his flowers for having arguably his best of the season, via “The Carton Show.” "Dak had a great game, but finally we saw this defense come alive, and they did it on Monday Night." — @willcolon66 on Cowboys win over Chargers on MNF pic.twitter.com/oVVMNwn29O — The Carton Show (@TheCartonShow) October 17, 2023 However, he was more impressed by their defense, stating that they finally showed up again in the way we all knew they could...

Video Shows Bol Bol Shining For The Suns

(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)   During Monday’s preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns fans were treated to some highlights from Bol Bol. Bol signed with the team a couple of months ago and is hoping to get a lot of time on the court in 2023-24. He might not be in every game but he is going to make every moment count just like he did on Monday night. A video shared by the NBA on Twitter showed Bol pulling off an impressive pump fake and dunk over the Blazers. The crowd understandably went wild. Bol Bol pump fake and slam! When he first got his start in the league, he played for the Denver Nuggets and was averaging 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds a game. He didn’t find his rhythm and couldn’t secure a consistent place on the roster. During his last season with the Nug...
