The Cincinnati Bengals will have bragging rights over the Seattle Seahawks, at least for the foreseeable future.

Geno Smith wasn’t very sharp in the game, and Zac Taylor’s team managed to escape with a narrow win, and that’s all that matters.

However, Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase wanted to stir the pot a little, trolling the Seahawks and rookie CB Devon Witherspoon by commenting “Hold that L” on an Instagram post that showed the rookie flexing on him.

The Illinois product didn’t hesitate to clap back at Chase, sharing that very same picture on his Instagram Stories with a “sick” emoji (via Dov Kleiman).

D.K. Metcalf had already fueled the fire by predicting that Witherspoon would get the best out of Chase, and while the scoreboard didn’t reflect that, he did dominate the LSU star.

When covered by him, Chase was held to zero catches on just two targets, and he finished the game with three passes defended and four total tackles.

Chase hasn’t been in the league for that long, and he’s already established himself among the best and most dominant wide receivers in the game.

Likewise, he’s also made himself plenty of enemies.

Chase’s trash-talk is relentless and brutal, especially coming from a player who has yet to win his first championship.

And while covering in one-on-one is an almost impossible task, he struggled to get anything against Witherspoon, so maybe he would’ve done better if he had just minded his business instead of talking more smack on social media.
