The Green Bay Packers haven’t been able to get anything going in the past couple of weeks. They dropped back-to-back games at home, and both of them in an ugly fashion.

That’s despite Micah Parsons‘ best efforts. However, the former Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher has also had a couple of mishaps.

Notably, that happened late in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, as he tripped RB Saquon Barkley. He avoided the flag at the time, but upon further review, the league still chose to fine him roughly $12K for that.

Of course, that’s pocket change for a player who just became the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. Still, it was something that should’ve never happened; it’s simply unsportsmanlike.

Parsons has been spectacular for the most part this season, but he does have a tendency to let his emotions get the best of him at times. Still, he was more than worth the risk.

Despite the Packers’ struggles, their defense continues to be dominant. If anything, they’ve given up just 26 points in the past couple of weeks, and they’ve shut down some very good players.

The Packers desperately need to hit their stride on offense, and they need to do it now. Parsons and Jeff Hafley’s unit will continue to hold down the fort to the best of their capacities, but they will only be able to do so much when the offense is constantly falling behind the sticks and failing to get any sort of momentum.
