Thunder Had Historical NBA Stat This Season

This regular season has been all about the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they reached a whole new level this year.

They are now entering the postseason as the top team in the West and have a good chance of going all the way to the NBA Finals.

They have been dominant since the very beginning of 2024-25

On X, the league announced that the Thunder ended the season with a 12.9 average point differential, which is the highest in NBA history.

The previous record of 12.3 points was held by the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks and the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.

Does this mean the Thunder are the odds-on favorites to win it all?

At this point, no one would count this team out, but they are still battling doubts.

Detractors say the Thunder are too young and too inexperienced and won’t make a huge splash in the playoffs.

They might win a round or two, but critics think they just don’t have the power to earn a title.

The Thunder are beyond ready to prove everyone wrong.

They left the rest of the West in the dust and have a 68-14 record, far ahead of the second-place Houston Rockets, with 52-30.

They are winning games, and winning them by a lot, so why wouldn’t they become champions?

It is true that they still have much to prove, and it’s also true that the playoffs are far more competitive.

But there is every reason to believe this team is the real deal and capable of being just as good in the playoffs as they were in the regular season.

No matter what happens, the Thunder just concluded a year they should be very happy about.
