Chiefs Had Call With Rising RB Prospect
The Kansas City Chiefs have a solid running back corps.
Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt can pound their way on the ground like the best of them.
Nevertheless, it seems like Andy Reid could be looking to add more horsepower to that unit.
According to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Chiefs had a Zoom call with Ohio State star TreVeyon Henderson.
The #Chiefs conducted a virtual call with Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson on Tuesday. Head coach Andy Reid was part of the call.

Henderson’s draft stock has risen over the past week or so, and he might even sneak his way into the first round.
Most scouts have him as the third-best running back prospect in this stacked class behind only Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton, and that’s a lot to say.
He played an instrumental role in leading the Buckeyes to the national championship last season, and while he ceded some touches in their crowded backfield, he’s clearly more than capable of being the main guy.
Then again, as good a player as he is, he might not be what the Chiefs need the most right now.
Their offense underperformed last season, but plenty of that had to do with injuries, and they should be much better next season if they’re at full strength.
The Chiefs need to bolster their offensive line and give Patrick Mahomes some blindside protection once and for all.
They could perhaps use another speedy pass-catcher.
Henderson is an appealing prospect who would make sense for plenty of teams picking late in the first round, but the Chiefs might simply not be one of those teams.
