The Oklahoma City Thunder barely beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night in one of the most exciting games of the week.

NBA insider and expert Bill Simmons was on hand for the game and had real praise for both teams, including one star player.

“Went to an awesome Clips/Thunder game tonight. I gotta say… Kawhi looks terrific in person. It’s kind of shocking. The Clippers need to be taken seriously as a playoff spoiler if he’s healthy. They’re good,” Simmon wrote on X.

Simmons and many others have been keeping an eye on the Clippers because they are starting to make serious noise at the perfect time.

During the game, Leonard posted 25 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block.

For the season, he has been averaging 19.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

When 2024-25 kicked off, fans were nervous that Leonard wouldn’t remain healthy.

They have grown accustomed to losing Leonard at the worst time, but he has been getting healthier and looking more comfortable on the court throughout the season.

Before Sunday night’s tight loss, the Clippers had been on a five-game winning streak.

They are the eighth seed in the West but are playing better than they have in months.

There are multiple teams vying for a spot in the Play-In Tournament, but it feels like the Clippers are surging at the right time.

If they can keep it up, they might be a spoiler and create a presence in the playoffs.

Fans still aren’t convinced they can stay healthy, but if they do, the Clippers should not be counted out.
