Hornets Are On A Historically Bad Losing Streak

The Charlotte Hornets are going through a rough patch right now.

Charles Lee’s team hasn’t been competitive in the last three games.

As shown by NBA Central on X (via CBS Sports), they just logged the worst three-game stretch in NBA history.

The Hornets lost the last three games by a combined 131 points: 53 to the Portland Trail Blazers, 42 to the Sacramento Kings, and 36 to the Golden State Warriors.

Granted, they were never expected to compete at a high level this season, but these kinds of blowouts are hard to fathom, especially for NBA teams.

The Hornets lost star G/F Brandon Miller for the season, and they’re now slated to have one of the top selections in the 2025 NBA Draft.

That’s going to be the silver lining after such a complicated season.

They will have an opportunity to add the likes of Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, or Ace Bailey next to Miller and LaMelo Ball, and all of those players look like potential generational talents.

Then again, it will still take a lot to turn this ever-struggling franchise around.

And even if winning games might not be in their best interest right now with the NBA Draft in sight, the players will want to show a little more pride even in the losses.

It’s one thing to lose, but getting blown out on a nightly basis like this is terrible for team morale.

Being the young team they are, they don’t want these losing habits to snowball and become a part of their identity.
