Steve Spagnuolo Is Drawing Head Coaching Interest
The Kansas City Chiefs currently have the best defensive coordinator in the league.
Steve Spagnuolo has helped them win three Super Bowls, and they have one of the strongest defensive units we’ve seen in quite a while.
Spagnuolo also won a Super Bowl with the New York Giants and is an established figure in the league.
That’s why it’s unsurprising to see him drawing interest for a head coaching position.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jacksonville Jaguars have requested permission to interview him.
Jaguars requested an interview with Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo for their Head Coach vacancy. Spagnuolo already had requests from the Jets and Raiders.

Schefter adds that the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets have also expressed an interest in him.
Spagnuolo was the head coach of the St. Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams from 2009 to 2011, but he didn’t have much success.
He finished his head coaching career with an 11-41 record (.212).
Of course, it’s been over a decade since that happened, so it’s safe to assume he’s learned from his past mistakes.
However, we’ve also seen multiple assistant coaches struggle when they’re called on to become the main guy.
The Chiefs hope Spagnuolo will stay with them, especially after what they’ve accomplished together.
They’re trying to make history by becoming the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.
But even if that’s not the case, he’s most definitely earned the opportunity to get back to the head coaching seat and run it back as the guy calling all the shots.
