Robert Griffin III Compares NFL QB To Philip Rivers

No one can deny that Josh Allen is one of the best players in the NFL.

From a physical standpoint, he might even be the best quarterback in the league.

He can make every throw in the book, and his combination of agility, size, speed, and strength make it impossible for opposing defenses to tackle him in the open field as well.

However, he has yet to make it to the Super Bowl, and it’s all because of Patrick Mahomes.

That’s why Robert Griffin III believes Mahomes has turned Josh Allen into Philip Rivers.

Talking to Kay Adams for her “Up & Adams” show, the former Washington Commanders star claimed that this loss will forever sting Allen.

He thinks that if Allen had won, he would’ve felt like he could now get past the Chiefs every time, even though his playoff record against them would be 1-3.

That’s similar to what happened to Peyton Manning, who started 0-2 against Tom Brady and ended up with a 3-2 playoff record against him.

On the other hand, Rivers was always a very good quarterback who could never get past the alpha dogs in the postseason.

Griffin also believes the Bills are now in no-man’s land, as not even copying the Chiefs’ formula was enough to beat them.

Although they’ve performed well against them during the regular season and even in those playoff games, the reality is that they’re still 0-4 against this team and struggle to find a way to win.
