The Philadelphia Eagles got some good news as they prepare for their first-round playoff matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

According to head coach Nick Sirianni, quarterback Jalen Hurts has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and is ready to play, via NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Hurts has not played since Week 16 and is likely itching to get back onto the field.

The problem is that his first game action in almost a month will take place with the season on the line.

Though the Eagles did defeat the Packers in their first game of the season in Brazil, it was a close contest and Hurts did not play his best.

He completed 58.8 percent of his passes, threw two interceptions and posted what ended up being his second-worst passer rating of the season (80.3).

The Eagles were able to eke out a 34-29 win but could’ve easily lost.

They now must face Green Bay again, and this Packers team is arguably better than it was last season and in the first week of this season.

Hurts is going to have to be ready for anything and everything facing this stingy Green Bay defense.

The Packers are among the youngest teams in the league and are explosive on both sides of the ball.

So, all of the pressure is on the side of Hurts and the Eagles because they are an experienced team that found a way to win 14 games and earn the second seed in the NFC.
