Odds Show Favorite To Land Cam Thomas In Potential Trade

The Brooklyn Nets were never expected to be very good this season.

They’ve been relatively competitive under Jordi Fernandez, and it’s not like their opponents have blown them off of the court.

Even so, their record isn’t good, and chances are that will not change going forward.

Multiple players, such as Cam Johnson, Dennis Schroder, and Dorian Finney-Smith, are expected to draw strong interest in the trade market as the deadline gets closer.

Nonetheless, it now seems like they could also look to move on from Cam Thomas.

Should that be the case, the Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as the likeliest destination for the former LSU standout, according to NBA Central (via Bovada Official).

The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets complete the top three, with the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves as potential dark horses to acquire him.

It would be somewhat surprising to see the Nets looking to trade Thomas.

While he’s a one-dimensional player, he’s shown the ability to get buckets in a hurry.

He can get hot from all three levels and provide any team with a strong scoring punch, whether he’s starting or coming off the bench.

He won’t pass the ball, and defense isn’t always there with him, but he’s worth a look because of his offensive prowess.

And with the Bucks desperately looking for a spark, they might be intrigued by the prospect of adding the Nets’ bucket-getter.
