Domantas Sabonis Sends Warning About Kings This Season

The Sacramento Kings are going to look very different next season.

Some analysts are worried about that not being a good thing, but they seem to be quite confident about that.

When asked about DeMar DeRozan’s addition to their offense, Domantas Sabonis sounded very excited.

Talking to the media, Sabonis claimed that it’s going to force opposing teams to defend them differently, adding that it will now be much more difficult to guard them (Via Matt George).

Of course, on paper, adding a 25 points-per-game scorer and one of the best mid-range shooters of all time to the mix is a positive thing.

He can also play on the ball and facilitate for others, giving the team three players who are capable of logging at least five assists per game on the court almost at all times.

However, DeRozan isn’t particularly known for his range.

He’s not much of a three-point shooter, and while he can knock down a three every now and then, he doesn’t even take that many triples.

Sabonis isn’t much of a stretch big either, and while De’Aaron Fox has made strides as a perimeter threat, that’s not his game, either.

Granted, Keegan Murray will now be more crucial with his ability to spread the offense and knock down shots from beyond the arc, but spacing will be a major concern in Sacramento with this new-look offense.

This could either go very well or very wrong for Mike Brown’s team; it seems like there’s no in-between here.

Lakers Given Notable Odds To Make NBA Finals
