Zion Williamson Is Expanding His Game Right Before The Playoffs

The New Orleans Pelicans scored an important win on Sunday night, beating the Phoenix Suns, 113-105.

Unsurprisingly, Zion Williamson had yet another big game, scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Andrew Lopez pointed out a very impressive fact on Monday morning, revealing that Sunday was the first time that Williamson made multiple two-point jump shots outside of 10 feet in the same game.

Lopez said that Williamson works on the shot all the time in practice.

“Using it more in games will help when teams pack the paint against Pels’ O,” Lopez tweeted.

Beating the Suns was a big deal for the Pelicans, giving them a 46-32 record, which is exactly tied with Phoenix.

The Pelicans are now fighting for the sixth spot in the West, which would get them out of Play-In contention.

Williamson will obviously be a huge part of any success they find.

After years of injury, he has had a terrific season, averaging 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

He is delivering on his promise and potential right now and is reminding people why he was the number one draft pick back in 2019.

Seeing him change and upgrade his game is very exciting for Pelicans fans, who want to get the most out of Williamson after so many injuries and false starts.

New Orleans wants Williamson to keep expanding his skills and continue playing very well, especially if they reach the playoffs.

For the last several years, the team has been missing Williamson during this pivotal part of the season.

Now they have him and he is showing that he wants to compete at the highest level.
