Colin Cowherd Believes 1 NBA Dynasty Is ‘Over’

The Golden State Warriors went down badly.

Steve Kerr’s team failed to keep it close in the second half, and the Sacramento Kings may have put the last nail in the dynasty’s coffin.

At least, that’s how sports analyst Colin Cowherd seems to feel.

Following the Dubs’ loss, the renowned pundit took to Twitter to state that this is just the way dynasties are supposed to end, predicting the Warriors will make some big moves in the offseason (via The Volume).

Cowherd claimed that the Warriors should only keep Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Brandon Podziemski.

He adds that this may have been Klay Thompson’s final game with the organization, even though Kerr would obviously love to keep him around.

Per Cowherd, Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis are two and three years away from Steph Curry’s timeline, respectively, which is why he wouldn’t be shocked if the team decided to move them to get a bona fide star.

That makes sense, and you have to do whatever it takes to give your top-10 player in NBA history another shot at a ring while he’s still in his prime.

Then again, not many teams would jeopardize their future for a long shot at another championship, not even the Warriors.

Joe Lacob wants to get out of the luxury tax, and that’s also going to be a factor to consider.

For now, it seems like we’ve officially reached the end of an era, but anything can happen with a player like Curry.
