Rick Carlisle Sends Strong Message About Tyrese Haliburton’s Growth

The 2023-24 season has been a huge one for Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers.

Haliburton has averaged 20.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and a league-high 11.3 assists during the season and has helped keep the Pacers more competitive than they have been in years.

In a recent tweet from the team, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle spoke about what Haliburton means to the team.

“Getting to this threshold of status means that you simply cannot exhale at all,” Carlisle said.

“Everyone in this organization is so proud of him. The city is so proud of him. He’s an enormous part of what we’re doing,” he added.

This is Haliburton’s second full season with the Pacers.

He moved to the team from the Sacramento Kings back in 2022.

Since then, he has increased and enhanced his game and has improved just about every aspect of his performance on the court.

Today, he is known as perhaps the best passer in the entire NBA.

That has been on full display all season long, especially as the Pacers found a lot of success during the very first In-Season Tournament.

For years, the Pacers have been in a very slow, complicated, and sometimes confusing rebuilding process.

They have acquired new talent and then sent it away and have made big front office and coaching changes too.

But they seem to really have something special right now and it’s all held together by Haliburton.

The Pacers are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference right now with a 36-29 record.

That means that are qualified for the Play-In Tournament right now but they want to climb even higher in the next few weeks.

And over the next several years, they want to become one of the dominant teams in their conference.

According to Carlisle, Haliburton will be a huge part of that.
