After losing Aaron Rodgers to a torn Achilles just four plays into the 2023 season, improving the offensive line was obviously going to be a huge priority for the New York Jets this offseason.

With both last season’s tackles Mekhi Becton and Duane Brown hitting free agency, the need for reinforcements only became greater.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that help is on the way, as the Jets have agreed to a trade with the Baltimore Ravens to bring back former Jet Morgan Moses to hold down the right tackle spot.

The Jets are sending pick No. 112 in the 4th round, as well as a 6th-rounder for Moses and a later 4th at No. 134.

New York gave up a frightening 64 sacks last season, which was the fourth-most in the NFL.

Only the Commanders (65), Panthers (65), and Giants (85, second-worst in NFL history) gave up more sacks last season.

Baltimore needed the cap relief, as they have been getting creative to clear some space in recent days, letting Patrick Queen walk to the rival Steelers, restructuring Ronnie Stanley’s deal, and cutting pass rusher Tyus Bowser.

Moses is 33 and has started 31 games over the past two years in Baltimore.

He last played for the Jets in 2021, where he played all 17 games before signing a 3-year deal with the Ravens.

They have some room in the cap to still address the other holes on the offense, namely the left side of the offensive line and the WR2 spot.
