He said that these two players should continue working on their pick-and-roll together.
Lillard should be the dominant ball-handler and Antetokounmpo should position himself down by the basket and in the paint.
This will space the floor better and let both of these stars play together and do what they’re best at.
When Lillard came to the team in the summer, many people automatically thought that the combination of him and Antetokounmpo was going to immediately make the Bucks championship contenders.
And while they have had a strong season, they have had their fair share of problems too.
Most notably, the Bucks are still lacking when it comes to defense and they have given up multiple games because of that.
Doc Rivers was recently hired as the new head coach and his tenure leading the team didn’t get off to a great start.
But over the last several games, Milwaukee has looked better and Antetokounmpo and Lillard have formed an even stronger partnership.
This is exactly what fans of the team wanted to see since the start of the season.
The Bucks are the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, firmly positioned to push into the playoffs in a few weeks.
Antetokounmpo and Lillard are functioning like a strong duo and this only increases the team’s chances for the weeks ahead.
