Insider Says Pistons Aren’t Interested In Trading 1 Veteran

You might think that the Detroit Pistons would be willing to do anything to stop the horrible season they’re having.

But you’d be wrong because they aren’t willing to part ways with one of their veteran players.

According to James L. Edwards III, via NBACentral, the Pistons “are not interested” in trading Bojan Bogdanovic.

Edwards reported:

“I’ve heard and continue to hear is that there are no plans to trade Bogdanovic unless Detroit gets an offer it can’t refuse. The Pistons want to be good and don’t want to trade good players, even if Bogdanovic’s role is reduced to a bench scorer next season.”

He has only appeared in 12 games so far this season and has averaged 19.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists during that time.

The 9-year veteran has been shooting 45.6% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point line as well.

Since joining the Pistons last season, numerous teams have been interested in signing the sharpshooting star.

But Detroit has repeatedly pushed back against any offers and have said they’d only let him go if they got a monster return.

They see Bogdanovic as a vital part of their rebuilding process because of his proven skills, experience, and strong basketball IQ.

Apparently, some teams thought that maybe the Pistons would change their tune now that they have suffered 28 losses in a row.

But the team is holding on tight to Bogdanovic and still believes he can be key to a strong future.

At this point, it’s not like things can get much worse for the Pistons so they have every right to keep him unless they are given a tantalizing offer.

Things can only go up from here for the Pistons and the front office believes that Bogdanovic is part of that painfully slow ascent.
