The New Orleans Pelicans are a team that many people seem to be enamored with.

Their roster shows they have good enough players to be a playoff team.

But, the most significant issue in recent years has been staying healthy.

It seems like when everything is going well, one of their key players gets injured.

Zion Williamson has been one of the most injured players in the league over the last few years.

He has been in the NBA for four full seasons, playing a total of 114 games.

When healthy, he has proven to be an All-Star caliber player.

Stephen A. Smith seems to believe the Pelicans can make a deep playoff run with a healthy Williamson.

According to “First Take,” Stephen A. said: “When (Zion Williamson) is healthy, the New Orleans Pelicans can get to the Finals.”

That is certainly a bold proclamation for a team that has not made it out of the first round of the playoffs since 2017-18.

Also, the last time they had a healthy Williamson they went 31-41.

With the Western Conference as strong as it has ever been it would be a shock to see this team make a deep playoff run.

The Pelicans have some nice pieces around Williamson.

CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram can each score 20+ points on any given night.

But, this team does not have enough to compete with some of the top teams in the West.

At best this team can win a playoff round, but not go much further than that.
