Analyst Makes Big Projection About James Harden, Clippers

Image
(Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)   After months of demands and public bickering, James Harden is now a member of the Los Angeles Clippers . Some fans believe that Harden cannot be trusted and will not add much to the Clippers’ roster, but others feel he could be just what they need. Speaking on his show, Craig Carton said that Harden showed a lot of adaptability last year and could be key to LA’s success. “If you get the other guys to stay healthy, then the Clippers are a top-four team out west,” he said (via The Carton Show). Insider Shares Strong Statement On Davante Adams Trade Scenarios

Image
(Photo by Katelyn Mulcahy/Getty Images)   The Las Vegas Raiders dropped their record to 3-5 on Monday. More than that, they once again showed their offensive struggles, and they don’t look like the kind of team that’s going to even sniff the postseason. So, with Davante Adams letting it be known that he’s not happy with his team’s offensive situation, it only made sense that the Raiders would look to recoup as much draft capital as they could for his services. However, NFL insider Adam Schefter just said on ESPN’s “First Take” that Raiders sources told him there’s no chance that they trade Adams right now. "The response that I got back to any potential Davante Adams trade, by the 4 o'clock eastern deadline today was to quote: 'Not a chance in hell.' So there's your answer." – @AdamSchefter pic.twitter.com/8ne3JmLp46 — First Take (@FirstTake) October 31, 2023 Adams looked for a trade to Sin City in the 2022 offseason. Brian Daboll Explains Controversial Decision Against Jets

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   The New York Giants have had their fair share of heartbreaking losses, but Sunday’s setback against the New York Jets should rank near the top. They had a chance to either win the game by getting just one yard, or make things quite tough for their rivals with a field goal, but they didn’t get either of them. With just 28 seconds left in the game, Brian Daboll’s team faced fourth-and-one at the Jets’ 17-yard line. They had a three-point lead, so Daboll chose to attempt a 35-yard field goal to double that lead and force the Jets to score a touchdown with no timeouts left. The kick was missed, the Giants ended up losing, and Daboll immediately faced criticism. That’s why, following the loss, Daboll defended his decision by pointing out the context in which it happened, and in hindsight, it doesn’t seem like he made a mistake (via Jennifer X. Williams). #Giants HC Brian Daboll: "Our defense was playing well all game. That’s why I made...

Broncos Used Taylor Swift To Troll Chiefs After Win

Image
(Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images)   The Kansas City Chiefs have become linked with Taylor Swift during this season. Swift, of course, is dating Travis Kelce, which continues to take the internet by storm. This relationship has seemingly been a catalyst for Kelce and the Chiefs as of late, who entered Week 8 on a six-game winning streak. However, that winning streak came crashing down as the Denver Broncos dismantled them 24-9. In honor of the Swift-Kelce relationship, Mile High Stadium played some of her music after the loss according to SportsCenter, further rubbing their victory into the Chiefs’ faces. Ravens Star Was Visibly Upset During Cardinals Game

Image
(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)   Although it came down to the wire, the Baltimore Ravens came away from Week 8 of the NFL Season with a win. They beat the Arizona Cardinals 31-24, continuing to keep their place atop the AFC North with a record of 6-2. Even though they won, Odell Beckham Jr. was caught on camera expressing some of his frustrations during the game. As Dov Kleiman pointed out, Beckham did not have a catch during this game and he has not scored a touchdown this year. OBJ was clearly frustrated during the #Cardinals game. Still hasn't scored this season. pic.twitter.com/qgx70I75ZE — Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) October 29, 2023 This has been a surprising outcome for Beckham, especially given the Ravens’ pursuit of him during the offseason. Beckham was a highly sought-after veteran receiver, but he ultimately went to the Ravens, hoping to help them make a push for the Super Bowl. The Ra...

Stats Show Brock Purdy’s Struggles In Recent Games

Image
(Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)   After starting the 2023 NFL Season undefeated, the San Francisco 49ers have now lost three straight. For a team that didn’t lose under Brock Purdy in the 2022 regular season, the past three weeks have been abnormal. While there have been several contributing factors to these losses, a recent Bleacher Report tweet has pointed out Purdy’s role in these games. Brock Purdy's last three games: 3 TD 5 INT 0-3 Record pic.twitter.com/yYdUwGNGJ8 — Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) October 29, 2023 In these losses, Purdy has thrown for just three touchdowns and five interceptions, including a game-sealing pick against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7. Despite throwing for over 350 yards this week against the Cincinnati Bengals, he could not overcome the dominance of Joe Burrow, willing his team to 31 points. While the 49ers have expressed confidence in Purdy in the past, his recent losses might lead them to look another way in...

Cardinals HC Announces Starting QB For Browns Game

Image
(Photo by Norm Hall/Getty Images)   The Arizona Cardinals started the 2023 NFL Season with a quarterback problem. Kyler Murray was out due to injury, and the team seemed to be up a creek without a paddle. Despite not having their franchise QB on the field, the Cardinals have liked what they have seen from Josh Dobbs thus far despite being 1-7. Murray has been spotted on the practice field as of late, a sign that the team might be gearing up to get him back on the field. It appears that his return will have to wait another week, as Adam Schefter has recently reported that Dobbs will be the starter in Week 9. Cardinals’ HC Jonathan Gannon told reporters that QB Josh Dobbs will start next Sunday at Cleveland. Insider Reports Titans’ Trade Deadline Plans For 2 Key Offensive Players

Image
(Photo by Frederick Breedon/Getty Images)   After they recently parted with All-Pro safety Kevin Byard in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, some have assumed that the Tennessee Titans are looking to unload some more of their priciest veteran players before this season’s trade deadline on Tuesday. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and running back Derrick Henry are two Titans players who have appeared in some of the latest trade rumors swirling around the league, but it doesn’t sound like they will be switching teams anytime soon. On Sunday, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that Tennessee is not looking to deal Hopkins or Henry to another team before Tuesday’s trade deadline unless they receive an offer for either player that is “exceptional.” DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry look to be staying in Tennessee. Teams have called GM Ran Carthon and I was told the team is not moving on any offer unless it’s exceptional. A source with the Cowboys also shared they never ca...

Insider Says Eagles Will Try To Upgrade 1 Position At Trade Deadline

Image
(Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)   After earning a trip to the Super Bowl last season, the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to pick up right where they left off in 2022, as they are heading into Week 8 of the 2023 campaign with a 6-1 record. Despite their recent success, the Eagles are a team that is always looking for ways to improve their roster, which sometimes involves them making trades for veteran players who can make an immediate impact. Most recently, Philadelphia acquired All-Pro safety Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a pair of Day 3 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft and safety Terrell Edmunds. The Eagles might not be done making deals before this season’s trade deadline, however, as The Athletic’s Dianna Russini revealed on Sunday that the team still wants to make another trade within the next few days, and it could be for a linebacker. The Eagles want to make another move even after adding safety and five-time Titans captain Kevin Byard. ...

Dak Prescott Comments On 1 Elite Rams Star

Image
(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)   The Dallas Cowboys are getting ready to host the Los Angeles Rams in Arlington for Sunday’s matchup. That means they must’ve watched plenty of film on one particular guy named Aaron Donald. Donald isn’t getting any younger, and he may not have the quick first step he had three years ago, but he’s still an elite defender. When asked about facing him and whether he’s still the same player, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott gave a blunt response. Prescott talked about Donald being a generational player and one of the most dominant defensive forces in the league, so he’s definitely still a guy to take care of and the centerpiece of their gameplan (via Jon Machota). Dak Prescott when asked if Aaron Donald is the same Aaron Donald he was earlier in his career: “Shit yeah he is. Yeah, he is. I’ve got to play him this week, of course he is. Yeah, he’s still the focus. That guy, I don’t know, what is it, three (NFL) Defensive Player of the Year…...

Panthers Star Is Not At Friday Practice Amid Trade Rumors

Image
(Photo by Grant Halverson/Getty Images)   The Carolina Panthers haven’t been any good this season, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them offload some of their veterans. That’s why, even though they claim it’s due to an elbow injury, some fans are keeping an eye on Carolina after they ruled out star pass rusher Brian Burns from today’s practice (via Ian Rapoport). #Panthers star edge Brian Burns is not at practice today because of an elbow injury that limited him yesterday. That's worth watching (though it's not related to any trade anything). — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 27, 2023 Burns was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice and didn’t practice at all on Friday. He’s currently leading the team with four sacks, and he has the potential to be even better in a more favorable environment. The Panthers also placed Yetur Gross-Matos on Injured Reserve (IR) earlier in the week, and WR Laviska Shenault Jr. and S Vonn Bell were ruled out of practice as w...

C.J. Stroud Makes His Thoughts Clear On Fellow Top Pick

Image
(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)   Heading into the 2023 NFL Draft, some believed former Ohio State star C.J. Stroud was going to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick by the Carolina Panthers. However, the Panthers went with former Alabama signal-caller Bryce Young instead, and so far this season, it looks like Stroud might have been the better choice. Stroud and the Houston Texans will travel to take on Young and a winless Panthers team this upcoming Sunday in a Week 8 matchup. On Wednesday, the Texans’ rookie quarterback shared how he thinks Young has been playing well this season, despite Carolina not being able to win a game yet (via James Roy on Twitter). “I think [Young is] playing good, and I think he’ll continue to be great in this game because he has that swagger, and mentality, and that type of playing style.” CJ Stroud on Bryce Young while speaking to the media: pic.twitter.com/vOjTY80fB6 — James Roy (@n1texansfan) October 25, 2023 While he expre...

MLB Officially Says Farewell To Dusty Baker

Image
(Photo by Brandon Vallance/Getty Images)   This week, one of MLB ‘s winningest managers announced his retirement from the game he loves. Houston Astros skipper Dusty Baker is calling it a career after managing since 1993. The league’s official Twitter account dedicated a post to say goodbye to a legendary manager. “A true baseball lifer. Congratulations on your retirement, Dusty!” MLB tweeted. A true baseball lifer. He played in MLB for 19 years, mostly with the Los Angeles Dodgers. During his MLB career as a player, he hit 242 home runs and drove in 1,013 runs. Then, he became a coach in 1988 and managed some minor league teams before getting his first crack at an MLB managerial job with the San Francisco Giants in 1993. He would stay there until 2002, after losing the World Series to the Los Angeles Angels. From there, he mana...

Stephen A. Smith Sets High Expectations For Zion Williamson, Pelicans

Image
(Photo by Allen Berezovsky/Getty Images)   The New Orleans Pelicans are a team that many people seem to be enamored with. Their roster shows they have good enough players to be a playoff team. But, the most significant issue in recent years has been staying healthy. It seems like when everything is going well, one of their key players gets injured. Zion Williamson has been one of the most injured players in the league over the last few years. He has been in the NBA for four full seasons, playing a total of 114 games. When healthy, he has proven to be an All-Star caliber player. Stephen A. Smith seems to believe the Pelicans can make a deep playoff run with a healthy Williamson. According to “First Take,” Stephen A. said: “When (Zion Williamson) is healthy, the New Orleans Pelicans can get to the Finals.” "When [Zion Williamson] is healthy, the New Orleans Pelicans can get to the Finals." @stephenasmith pic.twitter.com/Xnde4VhHda — First Take (@FirstTake) Oc...

Dolphins DC Won’t Confirm Jalen Ramsey’s Status For Sunday

Image
(Photo by Megan Briggs/Getty Images)   Earlier this offseason, the Miami Dolphins made a massive trade to acquire All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, Ramsey hasn’t been able to get on the field for them yet this season due to a knee injury he suffered in training camp earlier this year. Recently, the talented cornerback has been practicing again, and there are some who believe he could make his on-field Miami debut this week against the New England Patriots. Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio was asked on Thursday about Ramsey’s status for the team’s upcoming game, but the veteran coach still didn’t reveal whether the cornerback would be playing this weekend or not (via NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe). Dolphins DC Vic Fangio said it’s “yet to be determined” if CB Jalen Ramsey will play Sunday vs. Patriots but noted “he’s progressing well” in increased practice reps this season. pic.twitter.com/9oML3j8avO — Camero...

NBA Analyst Shares 1 Concern About Bucks This Season

Image
(Photo by Patrick McDermott/Getty Images)   The Milwaukee Bucks got significantly better on the offensive end of the floor. Nonetheless, it’s no secret that Jrue Holiday is considered one of the best defenders in the NBA, so losing him could be a big blow on the defensive end of the court. That’s why former NBA player Kenny Smith is concerned about how this team could fare against prime scorers, such as Jimmy Butler or Stephen Curry, as Holiday was usually given the task of taking on the rival’s best scorer (via NBACentral). Kenny Smith is concerned about Milwaukee's defense against stars like Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry without Jrue Holiday "Defensively, now who takes that assignment that Jrue Holiday used to take? Shannon Sharpe Reveals His True Feelings On Brock Purdy

Image
(Photo by Justin K. Aller/Getty Images)   The San Francisco 49ers fell flat for the second week in a row. Following their shocking loss to the Cleveland Browns, they failed to get back on track with another road loss, this time to the Minnesota Vikings. Niners QB Brock Purdy turned the ball over twice in the second half, including a game-sealing interception when trailing by five points. The Iowa State product completed 21 of 30 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown, with an 81.5 rating. That’s why Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe reaffirmed his thoughts on him. When asked whether he was disappointed in Purdy, Sharpe said that he wasn’t because he always knew the kind of quarterback he was, via “First Take.” "I knew what [Brock Purdy] was to begin with. … When the defense can't be perfect … and they ask Brock Purdy to deliver us, he didn't. … If Brock Purdy is elite, we need another definition for Patrick Mahomes." — @ShannonSharpe pic.twitter....

Graphic Shows The Elite Pitching Matchup In Astros-Rangers Game 7

Image
(Photo by David Berding/Getty Images)   The Texas Rangers made a statement on Sunday night. Yes, they lost three straight games at home against the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series, but they were able to win the first two games in Houston as well as Sunday’s affair to tie the matchup. Now, everything is set for a winner-take-all Game 7 at Minute Maid Park, in Houston, on Monday. The pitching matchup is every fan’s dream: Max Scherzer will take the ball for Texas, and Cristian Javier will do the same for the home squad. Bob Melvin Appears To Be Headed To A New Team

Image
(Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)   2023 was a disappointing season for the San Diego Padres , and there is no other way around it. An 82-80 record left the Friars out of the playoffs: it didn’t matter that they actually had an elite run differential of +104. The team lost many close games and in extra innings, and that’s in part on the manager, Bob Melvin. Initially, the organization didn’t fire him, but he might be leading another franchise after all. “The Padres have granted the Giants permission to interview Bob Melvin for their managerial opening (via @dennistlin )” Talkin’ Baseball tweeted. New Baseball League Is Adding Many Former MLB Stars

(Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)   In recent years, interest in sports has dramatically increased in the Middle East. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and others have hosted important competitions in soccer, motor racing, boxing, tennis, and a myriad of other disciplines. They have been luring star-level players to their leagues as part of an ambitious project. Baseball is about to join the list, too. “A new professional baseball league in Dubai had its first ever draft today Bartolo Colon, Robinson Cano, Pablo Sandoval and Didi Gregorius were among the players selected (via @BaseballUnited )” Jomboy Media tweeted. Insider Says Broncos Have Received Calls About 1 Key Defender

Image
(Photo by Ian Johnson/Icon Sportswire)   At 1-5 and last in the AFC West, the Denver Broncos could look to jumpstart their rebuild and sell off some of their talent in exchange for draft picks. Sean Payton’s arrival as the franchise’s new head coach has done little to help them win as they look just as incompetent on both sides of the ball. Russell Wilson has looked better in Payton’s system, though the offense leaves much to be desired on a weekly basis. Defensively, Denver is one of the worst units in the league and the front office has already looked to offload people like Randy Gregory. Jerry Jeudy is a popular name that should get moved before the deadline, but the Broncos have reportedly been listening to offers on all their players. However, one name that doesn’t seem likely to be dealt is Patrick Surtain via Jay Glazer of FOX. ๐‘๐ž๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ: NFL teams have called the #Broncos about trading for star CB Patrick Surtain, per @JayGlazer A trade is unlikely how...

Kyle Shanahan Declares 49ers Star Out For Monday’s Game

Image
(Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)   Through five weeks, the San Francisco 49ers looked unbeatable until they ran into the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. The 49ers had been firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball, but they suffered their first loss to a Browns team that was suffocating defensively. San Francisco had trouble moving the football downfield, and Brock Purdy looked uncomfortable navigating the pressure in the pocket. It was Purdy’s first regular season loss since taking over as the starting quarterback, but the 49ers lost more than just the game. Christian McCaffrey left the matchup after hurting his oblique, while Deebo Samuel also exited with a shoulder injury. Although McCaffrey has a shot at suiting up on Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings, Samuel will miss the game plus more via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. #49ers WR Deebo Samuel was declared out for MNF vs. the #Vikings with a hairline fracture of his shoulder, accor...

Insider Says Jets RB Is Available For Trade

Image
(Photo by Todd Kirkland/Getty Images)   Although the New York Jets struggled to overcome the loss of Aaron Rodgers to a torn Achilles, the team has been able to claw their back into the AFC playoff race. The Jets have strung together a modest two-game win streak before their Week 7 bye, generating some optimism that perhaps they can compete for a Wild Card spot. Zach Wilson has been serviceable since taking over the reins of the offense, though the real change has been Breece Hall who finally got a full workload last week. Hall started the 2023 NFL season on a snap count after spending the offseason recovering from a torn ACL, but the running back has looked like his former self as the weeks have gone by. The second-year player has home run playmaking ability and is usually good for one explosive run a game. Hall’s reemergence as the alpha in the New York backfield has seemingly made Dalvin Cook expendable and he is reportedly on the trade block via Dianna Russini of The ...

Insider Says Notable QB Could Miss More Time With Injury

Image
(Photo by Katelyn Mulcahy/Getty Images)   After a slow start to the 2023 NFL season, Justin Fields began to look like the quarterback who had an impressive run for the Chicago Bears to end last season. Fields didn’t look comfortable in the offense through the first four weeks, but he eventually found a groove and got Chicago in the win column after beating the Washington Commanders. Although Fields looked better on the field, he and the team suffered a major setback when he injured his thumb in their Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. To make matters worse, it came on his throwing hand which would make it incredibly difficult for him to grip the football. Initially, there was some optimism that Fields would be able to play through the injury though he didn’t practice throughout the week. As expected, Fields will miss Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders and potentially more time after that via Jonathan Jones of CBS. ๐—จ๐—ฝ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ: #Bears QB Justin Fields is n...
