Jae Crowder Has Strong Response To Insider Saying He Was ‘Banished’

Jae Crowder wants to make one thing very clear: he was not “banished” in Phoenix last season.

The forward recently tweeted an impassioned response to that idea.

Crowder was responding to a report from Law Murray, via NBACentral, that said the Clippers have no plans of banishing Marcus Morris “similar to how Phoenix handled Jae Crowder last season.”

Crowder wasn’t having it.

He tweeted:

“AYE MAN JAE CROWDER HAS NOTHING TO DO WTIH NOTHING… ESPECIALLY WHEN USING THE WORD BANISHMENT ATTACHED TO MY NAME! LEAVE ME OUT OF IT AND CHECK BALL IN A FEW WEEKS.!”

Crowder might not be banished now but there was a time last season when it looked like he was.

After sitting out at the start of the season because of disputes with the Phoenix Suns, Crowder was eventually sent to the Milwaukee Bucks.

He only played in 18 games there, where he averaged 6.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists,

He signed a new deal with the Bucks this summer so he is set to be back with them in 2023-24 and will possibly be able to play a lot more.

That was always his goal.

Crowder was allegedly unhappy with his role on the Suns and wanted to have more time on the court.

Most reports said that he elected to sit out of the game rather than see his minutes cut down.

He didn’t get many more opportunities to shine with the Bucks so he is still hoping to get more minutes in 2023-24.

But if he doesn’t, it’s unlikely that he will act as he did in his final months with the Suns.

That resulted in him missing out on many games and speculation that he was banished from the league, an assumption he clearly doesn’t like.
