The Rangers Finally Snapped Their Losing Skid
The Texas Rangers have been one of baseball’s best teams this year.
For most of the season, they have been dominating the rest of the American League West.
However, an eight-game losing skid caused them to lose their grip on the division and fall into a tie with the red-hot Seattle Mariners.
On Saturday night, that skid finally came to an end as they beat the Minnesota Twins by a final of 6-2.
The win improved their record to 73-56 and prevented them from falling out of first place.
On Twitter, Bob Nightengale took note of the Rangers finally ending their losing streak and recalling the last team to win the World Series despite having been through an eight-game losing skid.

The Rangers remain right in the thick of the playoff race.
If the postseason began today, they would either be the second seed in the American League or the second Wild Card, given that they are tied with the Mariners.
The team remains a strong contender for its first ever World Series title.
The last team to have an eight-game losing streak during the regular season and still win the World Series was the St. Louis Cardinals back in 2006.
But the race for the AL West crown is going to be heavyweight fight for the rest of the season.
It’s between the Mariners, Rangers, and defending World Series champion Houston Astros, who are breathing right down the Rangers’ necks at the moment.
Texas appears to be an October lock, but it’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out.
