The Golden State Warriors shocked the world by trading Jordan Poole just hours after their new GM, Mike Dunleavy Jr., claimed that they wanted him around for the long run.

But more than that, the fact that they traded him for one of their biggest foes only made it even more bizarre.

Notably, however, Tim Hardaway Sr. is confident that Chris Paul won’t play for the Warriors, or at least he won’t stay there for long.

Hardaway thinks they just wanted to get rid of Poole and his contract and will now look to flip Paul for more assets, either wings or younger players.

Truth be told, having Paul backing up Stephen Curry sounds like a coach’s dream, at least on paper.

And even though Paul isn’t young anymore and has struggled with injuries, he could still make a major impact on any contending team coming off the bench.

Then again, Paul likes to play the complete opposite way the Warriors do.

He’s more methodical and likes to play slow and control the tempo of the game in the half-court, while the Dubs are pretty much chaotic and like to push the pace on nearly every possession.

One could argue that elite playmakers like Paul would still figure things out, and his basketball IQ as a PG is second to none.

He’d also feed two of the greatest shooters of all time better than any other passer on Earth, but the fit is still somewhat odd, and we’ll have to wait and see what Dunleavy has in mind right now.
