Nick Wright Says Jimmy Butler Is A Top-5 Player In The NBA

It’s crazy to think that the Miami Heat have never had a top-three roster in the Eastern Conference since Jimmy Butler signed with them.

However, they’ve still made it to the NBA Finals twice and were one win away from another appearance last season.

Butler has led them to the Eastern Conference Finals at least three out of four years since arriving in South Beach, establishing himself as one of the greatest playoff performers in recent NBA history.

That’s why Nick Wright recently made a case for him being a top-5 player in the league right now, citing that it will all depend on how you value basketball.

He compared him to reigning MVP Joel Embiid by pointing out that Butler always delivers and improves in the playoffs, as opposed to Embiid.

Truth be told, Butler’s career averages aren’t impressive at all, and they just make it more evident that he doesn’t actually care about the regular season.

Butler knows that his team has as big a chance as anyone else in a seven-game series, and he’s lived up to that ever since he started playing for Erik Spoelstra.

He still needs to cap it off by winning an NBA championship, and it seems like you can never count his team out of a series, regardless of who they’re going against.
