Fans React To 49ers’ Stunning Draft Pick

The NFL Draft is a time when teams look to add future NFL stars.

Hitting on draft picks is the best way to build a championship team, but there are still some questionable picks along the way.

One of those questionable picks was made by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round.

They selected Michigan kicker Jake Moody with the 99th overall pick.

It is rare to see a kicker go this high in the draft.

But, once the 49ers lost Robbie Gould, it was clear they needed a new kicker.

Moody was the best kicker in the draft, but he was not projected to be picked until the fifth round.

Reaching for a kicker seemed unnecessary, but the 49ers did not want to miss out.

Having a consistent kicker is one of the most underrated things in the NFL.

You never realize how much you need a kicker until they start missing kicks.

There are usually multiple games in a season where the game comes down to a made kick.

Moody has kicked in many big games at Michigan and will have to do that in the NFL as well.

Many 49ers fans are happy to have their new kicker.

Taking him that high makes it almost a guarantee he will be their kicker at the start of next year.

It will be interesting to see how Moody’s career unfolds in the NFL.

He certainly will be kicking with expectations after being selected in the third round.

Lakers Given Notable Odds To Make NBA Finals
