The most surprising team in the NBA playoffs right now is, without a doubt, the Miami Heat.

Even though the Heat lost to the Atlanta Hawks in the Play-in Tournament, Jimmy Butler and company have bounced back with a vengeance by wiping the floor with the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

As if the first-round series win over Bucks wasn’t impressive enough, the Heat have already gotten off to a quick start against the New York Knicks in the second round, with Miami winning Game 1 on the road at Madison Square Garden.

Following another solid postseason performance and battling through an ankle injury, Butler was greeted by former teammate and Heat legend Dwyane Wade, who had a funny request for the face of the Miami franchise via Hoop Central’s Twitter account.

Butler is making a case to be the best player in the playoffs right now, as he defies the odds with every passing game while leading Miami to postseason success.

Even though the Heat will be underdogs for the rest of the way in the postseason, Butler and company seem unfazed and continue to elevate their game in the biggest moments.

The Heat will play one more game at Madison Square Garden before this second-round playoff series shifts to Miami, where Erik Spoelstra’s squad can take complete control of this series if they come out with a win in Game 2 in New York.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Heat can continue playing at a high level and if Butler’s ankle injury will slow him down.
