Analyst Says 1 Team Should Trade Their Star WR

Image
(Photo by Michael Wade/Icon Sportswire)   The Minnesota Vikings enter the 2024 offseason with a lot of questions about what they’ll do for their future. The team lost quarterback Kirk Cousins to a torn Achilles midway through the year which tanked their season and now will have to decide if they want to bring him back or try to get a different passer for their loaded offense. Between wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, tight end T.J. Hockenson, and running back Ty Chandler, the Vikings have an offense that could compete in the NFC. One wild idea purported by CBS Sports’ Kyle Long, though, was that the Vikings should trade Jefferson away for a bounty of draft picks and/or players and beef up other areas of the team rather than pay him record-setting money. “The Minnesota Vikings – and I’ve been banging on this table all year, you need to trade Justin Jefferson. ‘Cause you got the best wide receiver in football but you didn’t win a Super Bowl,” Long said. “Go ...

Raptors Reportedly Are Interested In 2 Pacers Players

(Photo by Tom Szczerbowski/NBAE/Getty Images)   The Toronto Raptors have already started their roster overhaul. With OG Anunoby joining the New York Knicks, Masai Ujri will reportedly keep making moves to get his team ready for the future. With that in mind, most people expect Pascal Siakam to be the next player moved. Notably, the Indiana Pacers are reportedly keeping tabs on the PF/C. However, that might not be possible at this time, as NBA insider Kurt Helin reports that the Raptors want Bennedict Mathurin or Jarace Walker in any potential trade involving the Pacers (via NBA Central). Insider Believes Decision Is Already Made On Bill Belichick’s Replacement

Image
(Photo by Bryan M. Bennett/Getty Images)   The New England Patriots are entering uncharted territory. For the first time in over two decades, they will be in the market for a new head coach. Or will they? For years, some have speculated that former LB Jerod Mayo would take the reins from his former coach and mentor. Now, Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston reports that, even though he cannot say anything is official until it actually happens, all signs point toward Mayo being Belichick’s successor. “The indications that I’ve gotten is that Jerod Mayo will be the successor to Bill [Belichick],” Curran said. . @tomecurran : "The indications that I've gotten is that Jerod Mayo will be the successor to Bill [Belichick]" pic.twitter.com/39VaoBjemS — NBC Sports Boston's Patriots Coverage (@NBCSPatriots) January 11, 2024 This wouldn’t be much of a surprise. Robert Kraft made sure to keep Jerod Mayo in Foxboro when other teams wanted to interview him for a HC pos...

Analyst Believes Eagles Should Make 1 Move If They Lose To Bucs

Image
(Photo by Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images)   The Philadelphia Eagles imploded in the second half of the season. They had the best record in the league at some point, but they couldn’t keep that momentum going for long. They’re now the No. 5 seed and wasted a golden chance to clinch their divisional title and secure a couple of games at home. That’s why they’ll have to hit the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their stout defense, and that’s not going to be an easy challenge. With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton predicted that a loss in the Wild Card round should result in Nick Sirianni getting fired. On top of that, he believes they should go after Bill Belichick if that happens, as they have a solid offensive line and a quarterback Belichick could respect, so he could be in charge of solving their defensive issues. “If Philadelphia loses to Tampa, get rid of Sirianni, he ain’t the guy. Go get Bill Belichick,” Carton said. "If Philadelphia loses to Tampa, get...

Michael Irvin Is Stunned Over 1 Mike Tomlin Rumor

Image
(Photo by Justin K. Aller/Getty Images)   The Pittsburgh Steelers managed to make the playoffs again. Death, taxes, and Mike Tomlin not having a losing season. Then again, it seems like the fans are demanding a lot from a team that was used to being on the mountaintop and that has failed to win a playoff game in the past seven years. That’s why there have been some rumblings and rumors about Tomlin reportedly taking some time off at the end of the season, perhaps even a sabbatical. Nonetheless, NFL legend Michael Irvin isn’t buying that narrative right now. In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” the legendary wide receiver stated that that’s just not the way he deals with things, arguing that Tomlin usually runs towards things, not from them. . @michaelirvin88 is stunned over Mike Tomlin aiming to “take some time off”: “I find this hard to believe. All he talks about is running towards issues, not from them.” pic.twitter.com/MA30uBEWde — UNDISPUTED (@undisputed) Janua...

Bears Announce 5 Coaches Have Been Fired

Image
(Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images)   The Chicago Bears made a few coaching staff changes today, none of which included the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus. The team decided to keep Eberflus for another season after he led the team to a 7-10 record to end the year. However, the Bears did let go five members of the offensive staff, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter: offensive coordinator Luke Getsy,  quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko, running backs coach Omar Young,  wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert, and a ssistant tight ends coach Tim Zetts.
