Damian Lillard’s Latest Social Media Activity Fuels More Trade Speculation

Image
(Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images)   The Portland Trail Blazers are heading into the 2023-24 season with an uncomfortable situation as they weigh whether or not to honor Damian Lillard’s trade request. After years of sticking with the franchise, Lillard has finally asked out after yet another disappointing season with the Trail Blazers. Lillard has been adamant about making his way to the Miami Heat to team up with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo and while the two teams have had extensive trade negotiations they have yet to strike a deal. With a little over a month until the start of training camp, it appears that Portland is content with allowing the situation to simmer until Miami or another team steps up their offer. Lillard has been quiet about his situation though he left a subtle hint about his offseason plans on his Instagram account via Heat Nation. Lillard has recently unfollowed the Portland Trail Balzers on Instagram. Dame unfollowed Portland and checked in ...

Bam Adebayo Calls Out NBA Players Over Load Management

Image
(Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)   Load management is one of the hottest topics in the NBA today. Countless writers and fans have spoken out about the practice, which involves players sitting out of games when they are healthy in order to preserve their physicality for the rest of the long season. Some NBA stars have also spoken out about this approach. Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat spoke with Playmaker and he made it clear that he’s not a fan of load management. “That bothers me in a sense because you have kids and parents who want to see you play,” he said. He added that some fans come from the inner city to attend games and they are then disappointed when they spend their hard-earned cash only to miss out on their favorite stars. “A lot of guys sitting, like load management. Angels Infielder Made History In MLB Debut

Image
(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)   The Los Angeles Angels have reached a point of desperation in their season. After buying at the deadline, they have slipped in the Wild Card standings and own a record of 60-63. In order to right the ship, the Halos turned to their minor league system and called up the recently drafted Nolan Schanuel. Schanuel got the start at first base for the Halos on Friday night against the Tampa Bay Rays and picked up his first Major League hit. He also was a part of a key triple play turned in the ninth inning. As a result, he became the first player to be involved in a triple play in his MLB debut since catcher Sal Fasano on April 3, 1996. Sarah Langs of MLB.com provided this interesting fact on Twitter. Lance Lynn Comments On Playing For The Dodgers

Image
(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)   Lance Lynn was one of the worst pitchers in baseball in 2023 when he was with the Chicago White Sox. In 119.2 innings there, he had a putrid 6.47 ERA. He just didn’t look like himself, considering he has a 3.68 career ERA. However, the Los Angeles Dodgers took a chance on the track record and were willing to overlook his horrible 2023 performance. They knew they could work with him to help him get back on track: nobody wants to run an ERA over 6.00. Somewhat predictably, the Dodgers helped him rebound, and he has been so good in LA that he almost looks like the team ace. “‘It’s been fun out here… especially pitching in front of the home crowd.’ Lance Lynn on his seven shoutout innings and his four starts with the #Dodgers ,” SportsNet LA tweeted. Texans HC Announces Starting QB For 2nd Preseason Game

(Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images)   Despite all the rumors and reports, the Houston Texans never hesitated to take C.J. Stroud in the NFL Draft. The Ohio State product was ranked as the second-best quarterback in his class by most experts, and the Texans trusted him to be the right guy to lead the post-Deshaun Watson era. That’s why HC DeMeco Ryans wants to give his young star as many reps as he can handle, naming him the starter — again — for their second preseason game, this time versus the Miami Dolphins (via Ari Meirov). #Texans HC DeMeco Ryans announced that CJ Stroud will once again be starting for Saturday's preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. Ravens, Commanders Reportedly Get Into Another Fight

Image
(Photo by Nick Cammett/Getty Images)   There has been plenty of animosity between the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders as of late. Despite Ron Rivera’s warning to his pupils, things have escalated quite quickly, and it’s become more than clear that they don’t like each other at all. Following yesterday’s two fights during their joint practice, Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post reports that there was another scuffle early on Wednesday. Apparently, the OL-DL one-on-one drills got a little too intense, and Eric Bieniemy had to step in. Fight broke out during the early individual portion of Ravens-Commanders practice. This happens every single season, and it’s not that hard to predict that two teams going at full intensity against their rivals could lead to this sort ...
