Austin Reaves Makes Hilarious Revelation On LeBron James’ Behavior

Image
(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)   The Los Angeles Lakers surprised a lot of people with how they turned their season around last year. They began the year 2-10 and finished in the Western Conference Finals. One of the many reasons for their success was the emergence of Austin Reaves. Reaves was signed by the Lakers as an undrafted free agent after the 2021 NBA draft. He has proceeded to turn himself into a strong role player for the Lakers. In 64 games last season, Reaves averaged 13.0 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. He even raised his game in the playoffs by averaging 16.9 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.4 rebounds. One reason Reaves felt comfortable to thrive in his role is because of the leadership of LeBron James. Reaves talked about how James is always smiling and laughing. According to LakeShow on Twitter, Reaves said, “The best thing about him is that he comes to work every day happy.” "Always joking, laughing, having a good time…The best ...

Grant Williams Explains How He Will Fit With Luka Doncic

Image
(Photo by Maddie Malhotra/Getty Images)   One of the most underrated moves of the NBA offseason was the sign and trade that sent Grant Williams to the Dallas Mavericks . Williams may not be seen as much more than a role player, but he is just what the Mavericks need. He is a good defensive player and can knock down some open shots. Also, the Mavs were able to pay him a contract he was looking for. Williams went on “The Old Man and the Three” podcast to talk about how he fits in with Luka Doncic. Williams mentioned how Doncic is a great passer and is always looking to find the open man. Also, Doncic is one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league. The attention he brings onto himself should free up Williams to get wide-open looks. Dallas should be one of the most interesting teams in the league next year. They brought back Kyrie Irving in free agency. Also, they added Richaun Holmes and Seth Curry to the roster. There is no question the Mavericks should...

LeSean McCoy Hits The Brakes On Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow Comparisons

Image
(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)   Many NFL fans love to compare players. Deciding who is better between certain quarterbacks has become an everyday staple amongst talk shows. One of the top comparisons of late is trying to compare players to Patrick Mahomes. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has been elite ever since his second year in the league. Not many quarterbacks can compare to the success that Mahomes has had. But some people are trying to put Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow into that same category. Former NFL player LeSean McCoy thinks it is “Mahomes and everybody else.” "Every other quarterback is playing for 2nd place… It's Patrick Mahomes and everybody else." @CutOnDime25 doesn't think Joe Burrow is in the same conversation with Mahomes pic.twitter.com/lY2TxNPO06 — Speak (@SpeakOnFS1) July 21, 2023 McCoy mentioned how impressive it was for Mahomes to win his second Super Bowl without Tyreek Hill. That just goes to show he...

MLB Insider Discusses A Potential Dylan Cease Trade

Image
(Photo by Ed Zurga/Getty Images)   As the trade deadline approaches, mostly everybody around the baseball world is wondering what will happen with Shohei Ohtani and if the Los Angeles Angels will ultimately trade him. However, another player that is being discussed is Chicago White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease. After finishing second in the Cy Young voting last year, Cease has had a rather disappointing season. The 27-year-old owns a record of 4-3, but has an ERA of 4.18 in his 20 starts this year. However, Greg Amsinger of MLB Network doesn’t see any possibility that Cease gets traded, despite the White Sox having such a down season, and he discussed as much on 101 ESPN St. Louis. Pump the brakes on those trade proposals, #stlcards fans! Greg Amsinger joined #TheOpeningDrive to throw some water on a potential Dylan Cease deal, get into other pitching options & try to figure out the Cardinals' positional logjams Full Interview: https://t.co/Yic1qw6pnW pic.twitte...

Former Warriors Player Claims Draymond Green Also Tried To Hit Him

Image
(Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)   The Golden State Warriors have Draymond Green as their undisputed and most outspoken leader. However, as respected as he is by some, he’s also gotten a bit of a bad reputation among other fanbases and even players. Green has recently been deemed a violent person, and some people have always labeled him a dirty player. Notably, an old clip shared by a Warriors fan on Twitter didn’t do much to help his case, as he was spotted trying to hit former teammate Nick Young — albeit in a playful fashion. Someone mentioned Swaggy P in the tweet, and — truth to form — the former shooting guard kept the joke going by stating that he also tried to punch him like he punched Poole, adding that he might hate corner guys. Draymond try that same punch with me lol ist something about corner dudes he hate lol https://t.co/B2zTYRuzK3 — Nick Young (@NickSwagyPYoung) July 19, 2023 Of course, one can never know whether Young is joking or not, as he’s alwa...

Aaron Boone Offers An Honest Take On The Struggling Yankees

Image
(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images)   The New York Yankees are going through their ugliest struggle in years. They are 50-47, last in the AL East, and in the midst of a four-game losing streak. They have dropped eight of their last 10 games, they are currently without their best player (Aaron Judge), and most of their lineup is mired in a deep slump. Things couldn’t be worse: Tommy Kahnle took his frustrations out on a fan (a device, not a person) and Carlos Rodon was blowing sarcastic kisses to the crowd. Manager Aaron Boone is usually calm under the storm and careful with what he says to the press, but he was candid after Wednesday’s loss. Aaron Boone: “We stink right now. We acknowledge that.” — Bryan Hoch (@BryanHoch) July 20, 2023 Per Yankees insider Bryan Hoch, Boone said the Yankees “stink” at the moment. Well, that’s one way to put it, and it’s actually not far from reality. In life, the first step towards solving a problem is acknowledging that there is ...

Francisco Alvarez Sits Atop MLB In Impressive Category

Image
(Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)   New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez has been a pleasant surprise in an otherwise rocky season for the organization. The offense has struggled to consistently score runs at times, and that, combined with some pitching depth woes, has resulted in a mediocre 44-50 record and fourth place in the NL East as of Wednesday afternoon. Alvarez, however, has done his part to keep the offense afloat. He is slashing a cool .242/.303/.534 with 19 home runs and a 128 wRC+. The wRC+ stat allows us to evaluate offensive performance and compare it with the league-average output, which is 100. It means Alvarez has been 28 percent better than the league-average hitter, and that’s huge for a catcher. A big part of why he has been such an effective batter is his power. Those 19 home runs are enough to lead the catcher rankings in MLB, according to SNY. Top of the class. pic.twitter.com/YfKmLQbEgo — SNY Mets (@SNY_Mets) July 19, 2023 Alvarez has...
